Just got a call from 573-206-3444 when I answered the phone there was no response.

I hope you get back on here and read this. If not maybe others will read it and understand where you are making a mistake. If one of these law breaking so called charities call up and get you to 'pledge' money to them there is no legal requirement to give them that money. They cannot turn your pledge over to any collection company. You don't 'owe' this charity a dime. And they sure as hell haven't given you any sort of product that you have to pay for. Best bet is to tell the Missouri Troopers Association what I tell them. And it starts off with a lot of cuss words.

573-206-3444 calls randomly and hangs up when answer, never leaves a message if I don't answer. We are on the no-call list already.

They called our home and are an agency who has been hired to raise money for the Missouri State Troopers.  When my husband asked what their overhead percentage was, they became rude and could not answer the question.  I will not donate to them again.  I had previously. We told them to take our name off the list.

call was from a scammer with fake story week of jan25 2013 do not respond.

Called today around 12:15 PM---Caller (male) asked for one of the residents by first name---I said who is calling---He said some name and said he was with something firefighters---this number comes from beauford MO or something as I have searched the number.  He assumed I was the person he named and made a joke about "I hope all your fires are on your stove top... (joke?)  I said what????  I then said ---we are in the middle of something---and he said he would call back at a better time!!  He then used the initial name of the resident to say good-bye.  I said good-bye and told him this is not that person he called for!

This is from an area which used to call here several months ago---just numbers in the identity thing on the phone---and also same numbers in the phone number line on the identity of the phone screen.  last three numbers easy to recognize 3444----beware---this is probably a scam---we are nowhere near the area which is reported that the phone scam came from.  

The caller was personable, friendly, jovial, sounded down to earth and used the first name of the phone owner---SCAM SCAM SCAM!!

They didn't do a hard sell so I listened to his shpiel. I felt too guilty to hang up on the guy, but they do get you to commit to paying the amount you pledge. And they record it. My guess is if you don't pay they'll send it to collections.

we're on do-not-call list - no answer when i pick up.

Like several other numbers.  This 573-206-3444 called my phone and NO answer.  All I can do is turn it over to the attorney general and hope he can get it stopped.  This kind of calling  is a pain in the back side.

Call comes from somewhere around Columbia, Missouri. Other than that, I don't know who it is. I do not answer calls without published call ID information. Unknown, -----------------, or other non descriptive ID data means it's some solicitor for charity, probably less than honest, a political poll, or some scammer.

Rather than complaining, if everyone would get caller ID and not answer any calls that can't be identified, these people would eventually stop calling. It's the simple solution, but as a people, we are too dumb to figure it out.

I have also noticed this number several times on my caller id. I don't answer calls I don't know.  Unlike my landline, my cell area code is 573, so today I decided to answer.  The person on the other end ask for me by my first name I just said I wasn't here and could I take a message, he said to say Jim called.

They just called my #.  Same deal - no response and then they hang up.

Several calls from this obnoxious number.  Wish they'd stop.

I have Caller ID, and have received several calls from this number.  If I don't recognize the number and there is no name, I don't answer.  I KNOW it's not a bill collecter!!  Wonder if it might be a political poll.....

This number calls my unlisted home phone and when I answer, nobody is there.  I wait for several seconds before hanging up and nothing.  I have not tried calling them as I've seen from other posts there is no answer when calling back.  Very annoying.
