This person is relentless. Reported to the Ohio Attorney General. Nobody in their right mind would send you a check for $1,650 more than your $300 asking price. You just don't write mistakes like that. If these people would concentrate the time they spend to scam people on a legit job they might get somewhere in life.. other than jail.

I also received several texts from the same number listed above from an ad i posted on craigs list.  This person gave me some bougus excuse that the number they were first using had a low battery and needed to change to another number  the other number was 631-618-8546.  They did send a check  with company Cecil Jewelry, Inc. I immediately gave information to the authorities.  As ken statedabove received  the exact same information, regarding sending to much money having me keep $50 for my trouble and then sending him back the amount that was over the asking price of the item.  Total scam.  Thank god we did not act upon it.

I received a text from this # saying that he would send a ck for the total amount from his bank.  This was followed up with a number of texts leading up to him sending two cks for more then the price and that I should keep 50$ for my trouble. He also used another phone # 631-340-3591

Its a craigslist scamer wanting to buy your merchandise and send you a fake check to cash and send them the remaining amount not to mention your merchandise... Just had to deal with this this morning. I have no time for games honestly. But anyways. thats who it is. I reported them. you should as well. Along with anyone else who is contacted by them.

Ad on Craigslist and this number wanted to purchase the item.  Kept sending me messages and wanted to purchase with a cashier's check.  Never talked to me & I figured it was a scam.  Glad to know others have had this issue!!

This number texted me about an ad on Criagslist and wanted to send certified check. Glad I checked online.

received a text this number regarding an ad I posted on craig's list....they wanted to send me a 'certified check' from their bank and make arrangements for obtaining the item after the check clears my bank.  when I advised I need cash at the time of pickup I heard nothing else.....glad I checked online...this is a scam

This number is a scam. If you post on Craigslist they will message you with scam.

This # contacted us regarding an item from Craigslist, mailed us a cashiers check for over the amount and asked us to mail them the balance when the it was picked up. The bank ID'd the check as fake and we reported them to the authorities. They claimed they were hard of hearing and could only text and not receive phone calls. SCAM ARTIST!!!

Received a message from (573)340-3591 regarding my for sale listing on craigslist. I text back and never received a response back.
