Got a call today asking for my husband. SInce he is deceased, I told them that. She said she was sorry, but could she send out a donation card & if I could just put $20 in for the kids with cancer. I said no & then hung up. This also happened about a week after he passed. I said the same thing & she also went on with her spiel. I'm still sorting out my finances from this recent death. someone needs to give these people some tips on etiquette.

Almost exact thing happened to me tonight.  She asked for my husband.   then she hung up on me while I was telling her that we do donate but to other charities

As reported they say they are with Children's cancer. I asked them to take me off their list but they still keep calling. I blocked the number and they still keep calling for the last two years.

I filed a complaint with the MO AGs office to no avail. Maybe I will call the local news and see what they can do.

The caller id says, "children's cancer".  When I said hello, she asked is this Jane? When I asked who's calling, she said the words no message, have a nice day, and then she hung up on me.

They've been calling every few days for weeks. My caller ID says "Childrens Cance", but since they never left a message I was suspicious (you can have caller IDs say anything).

I finally answered today. She asked if she could mail me something. I said no, we already donate to cancer in other ways such as... She cut me off to tell me how great that is and transition back to her pitch. I raised my voice and told her she cut me off, I didn't appreciate that, and to put me on her do not call list. The line went silent but not dead, so I'm not sure if she got the message. I asked if she got that, and it was still silent. So bogus.

If they call again, I'll take the next step and contact the state.

got a call today, she ask for first name, but I went to pickup phone in other room she hung up on me. sounds like a scam to me to.

They've been calling, but I don't answer because I don't know the phone number. I'm hoping they stop.

This number keeps sowing up on my caller ID. I do not answer & they leave no message. Scams--get a job people.

Called my house today. This is the second bunch to call since Friday.

Answered phone call today, 9/30/13; caller asking for husband by name; she said she's actually calling for either of us and if they sent us a pledge card would we send a check for children battling cancer?  I said if they are battling cancer, they need to go to St. Jude's. She said thank you and hung up.

The caller said she was trying to get pledges for a children's cancer drive. When I said send me the info she was rude and hung up on me. If this were legit they would have gone beyond to get that pledge. Bogus call.

I've been getting call also from 573-342-4078 saying they are calling collecting money for children's cancer. I've never had nor heard of getting telephone calls from charities asking for money. Then when they get consistent with he calls it makes you wonder. So these are telemarketers calling begging for money. I am going to report them.

Got a call from  573 342 4078 asking for Mike.   More that once.   Who is this caller?

Asking for "Mike."  Pleasant voice on the calling end, but shows only phone number.

Am on do not call list also.  After she gave me her sales pitch I said I am using all my resources to battle cancer myself.  She paid no attention to what I said.  She said can't you imagine these kids battling cancer. I said I'm on my way to chemo right now, can you imagine that.  Which is the truth  She hung up.

Call this evening. ID said childrens canc. No message left. I won't answer calls from numbers or caller ids I don't recognize. I've blocked this number.

Called on 8/14/13, no message  left; didn't answer phone. "Missouri caller" on ID.

Scam "charity" uses high pressure and shaming to try to get you to donate.

Might as well hand money out to winos hanging out next to the liquor store.

Call from this number today, she asked for me by first name only and when I said "this is Michelle" she hung up!  Only showed up as Missouri call with this number.

Received another call today ... asked for my husband (by name) ..  I told her she could call heaven and ask for him ..   I am tired of getting these calls and hope they got the message.  I am on the no call list but to no avail.

I received a call last night at 8:40. My son answered and they asked for me (by my first name only) wanting money for a children's cancer foundation. I believe this is a scam and I plan to report it.

This is a 3rd party getting donations for childrens cancer, not really sure what they actually do for the kids.  All I was told about the smiles on the kids faces.  Not what they are really doing for these kids.

The lady asked for my fiance, when I stated he was not in and asked if I could take a message.  The lady started the sales pitch.  I really cannot afford to give to a charity at this time, I was explaining to her; she said but to see the smiling faces of these little kids fighting cancer.... I interrupted her to give her some insight into my situation...I explained that I have had many of my family die from cancer, mother and paternal grandfather, and right now my niece is going through a very rough time and is getting a bone marrow transplant...so if I was to donate anything it would be to my niece because she is a young adult and cannot afford to do this all on her own.  The lady hung up on me.

06-26-2013 @ 12:46 PM, CHILDREN'S CANCER RECOVERY CENTER, 573-342-4078 = Here we go again!  Last call from these stinking jerks was 4/22/2013.  They never learn.  When I saw who it was from, I just pressed the talk button, and immediately pressed the end talk button.  It's a robo-call and you can't talk to anyone until message ends, then they tell you to press this number and that number, etc.  SCAM ALL THE WAY!  These calls come out of Richwood, Missouri, based on internet search which is close to the Columbia, MO area.  I'm still in favor of the old double barren shotgun up their butts!
