Got it on my cellphone -- caller said "um hi" then got disconnected

I got the call at 9 yesterday morning. Same as everyone else just said" hi... Hello..." And hung up.I'm from new mexico and my number is brand new just got it a few weeks ago. Strange!

I just got a call it said that they were callinb about negotiated credit card rates of 1.9% and below the message provided a 1800 number that I wont list on an open block likes this as its an obvious phishing scam!

I just got a call from this number as well. It was a simple "Hello" and then went dead.... Holloman AFB, New Mexico

ALSO, I am in the Verizon network. I don't get how they are able to call of us on our cellphones? They somehow have access to all these numbers.

Received the call today. Didn't pick up and the person left a voice mail that says:

"I wanted to let you know I did find a solution here. The program that we got can lower those interest rates as low as 1.5% and possibily cut your monthly payments in half. Since you are only making a minimum payment, this will be a great opportunity for you. This will be the last courtesty call that I will make, so please give me a ring today. You can reach me here at 1-888-442-0881. Again, that is toll free. The number is 1-888-442-0881"

Just received a call with the "hi" or something, then hangup. 17 seconds.

Got it at 4:05pm, cellphone in Minnesota. Great, reporting now.

Also just got a call from this number. When I pick it the guy just said hi and that is all I got. Somebody is playing around. Oh, well.

called at like 5 of 3pm..im from maine living in PA and i got a call from a weird man saying "hello" and then silence..what is this?

I just got a call from this number.  Said that he could give me a better rate and that I was just paying the minimum, so this was the last time he could offer me this deal.  I don't know what he was talking about!  I have a Minnesota number.

I just got the same thing....Feb 10, 2010 @ 4:02.  Called my cell phone..answered...a mans voice said hello...then the call went dead.

The exact same thing just happened to me. I went to look up the number and was referred here. I'm from Philly btw.

just received voice mail message from 573-422-3176 @ 2:30 pm 2-10-10 in  Texas. something about making minimum payments on a credit card balance and this is his last call.

Scam call. Caller left no name no company name offering to lower credit card interest rate. Claimed he had talked to me last week. Wanted me to call back.

Same call here. I heard a man in the background saying we spoke... and then a machine saying to accept press 1, I just hang up cause I thought it's a collect call.
Imediately after I received a text message from a different number1-513-239-7656 saying: You've got a new voicemail from (573) 422-3176. Preview: This toll free at 1(888) 442-0881.

I called my voice mail and I had no new voice mail.

I got this call on my cell just now. I'm in Texas. He said in his voice mail that I had talked to him last week and he could lower a credit card interest to 1.5. Really sounds like a scam. We know credit card companies would never do this. When you call back this scammer you are confirming your phone number and you will receive more calls. Just don't call back. Learn to delete!
