I just got the same text from a Paul...total scammer. Don't contact him!

This guys is bad news, just received an email and text from this # & email, with the name of Paul, asking me to mail the products to his cousin in Arizona. Ignore his request, this is a scam!!!

I live in NY, and I also received a text from this #, not knowing and responded back on email. now this guys has my email address. Not good. Same message, about being deaf, and wanting to send his couisn in  Missiori a b-day gift (Mary Kay products)
He is bd news!

These scammers have been targeting sellers of Mary Kay, Avon, Pampered Chef, Scentsy, and other companies with home representatives.  They usually pretend to be deaf so you won't call them and hear their real voices, and accents.  They will send you a fake check which you should never cash.  Or they will insist that you use their "shipper" which is also the scammer or a confederate.

What is his problem did his wife leave him to sell MK? LOL my friend who sales MK just told me about a text she recieved and I check out his number I'm glad you ladies reported it now we know. Thanks

Oh my gosh!! I received the SAME exact note except his name was Paul and he asked the items be shipped to his cousin in AZ (Greg Williams; 17423 N 35th Place; Phoenix AZ, 85032). Email address = paulkarapad@inbox.com. He also requested my full name, address, phone number to contact me (ummm thought you were deaf???)

Also same as you lady's requesting Mary Kay products. I emailed him requesting his referral. Glad I checked the area code on google! Otherwise I wouldn't have found this site!

WOW!  I just got the same text message from the same number.  paulkarapad@inbox.com.  interested in purchasing mary kay products. waiting to "read" from me. Paul. So glad I googled it.  I usually am suspcious anyways.

I got the same message today from Paul (guess they decided to change names).  I figured it for a scam right away, because while I sell Mary Kay, I sure don't know anyone in New Mexico!  Wonder if they are getting our info from the May Kay website under finding a consultant?  Anyway, I didn't even bother to respond.  If he texts again, I don't intend to be polite........

I just got one as well. Did they say anything to you form MK corporate? Mine isn't coming from a Samuel it's signed Paul. Same as the rest of you though.

I just received one as well.  I can tell you it is a scam.  This happened to me previously.  They will end up sending a check for way more than the product and will ask you just to refund them what's left minus a little something extra for your trouble.  The check is stolen.

Same story happened to me today. I reported it to MK web site.

I received the exact same message.  Except I was sent the message via text and email through the marykay website.  I found this disheartening.  I too reported to MK and am concerned about the fact that he had my mailing address and phone number (as it was the number that was texted) NO I am worried that there will be some kind of identity theft as a result of this.  Has anyone else encountered any adverse reactions since getting such correspondence?

Recieved the same text verbatim. As well as another consultant from ym unit on Feb2. Responded to the email and got a list of products back as well.
Beware, the address tried to make it look legit, but if you google the address the cell and email dont match the one its sent from. ALSO be Very wary of anyone wanting to pay upfront via money order - often send for over and ask you to send the difference back and the check they send wont clear.

I also received a text on 2/1 at 11:53 p.m. from 575-483-6431 "I am interested in purchasing MK Product from you email me on slandd815@gmail.com so i can send my order list.Samuel".  I sent my e-mail address and received an e-mail with a large order $305 of mens items and a request to send it to a Bruce Miller in St. Louis MO... stating that he would send a money order in advance - wanting my full name, address and where my payment could be issued to... have reported to MK.  What a shame!

it is so fishy, because who would contact someone else from another state.

i also got a text from this number which is strange because it is a New Mexico area code and i live in anothre state. Samuel wants mk products

I received a text from this number this morning saying "I am interested in purchasing MK product from you email me on salndd815@gmail.com so I can send my order list. Samuel"  It did sound fishy ~ thank you everyone for reporting this.  I hate these MK scammers.

 I have gotten 3 texts so far today ...called the number and left a message to stop texting me. Texted them back and said I reported them to the authorities.
