These calls come from all different area codes. I don't get the same one twice. I have my phone numbers listed on the Do Not Call National Registry. However it does no good to report these calls.  This time, I pressed #1 alright. I asked a live person to remove my cell phone number (as I have done numerous times before). Before that live person hung up on me, he said ?You like sucking c*** don?t you f**.?

I had a call from this number but did not answer and they didn't leave a message.

I got a call on 11/18/2011, press #1 when prompted and the guy was a total #@% after I asked him to remove my number from their database.  I could not really talk at that time because I truly wanted to tell him off!

These guys are hilarious. I picked up the last time this number called but didn't say anything. Nor did they and they eventually hung up. I'm thinking of either getting a whistle or just blasting some death metal into the phone. They call the landline so they don't come up on our phone bill, but I feel for those who are getting thee calls on cell phones. I think they bounce their calls around through different numbers so sadly its pretty pointless to try and report them.

We're recieving this call at least a few times through out the week, on the lan line. I'v e asked twice now to place us on the 'Do not call' list and they immediately hang up.. I've plans next time they call to speak with their manager direclty.. if the decide to hang up on me again, I've plans on screaming into the reciever next time :)

Calls seem to come from 'Artesia, NM'

The Missouri Attorney General's Office identified these calls as coming from Discover Card. Contact Discover Card in WRITING and demand that your number be removed from ANY CALL LIST they sponsor. It worked in the past for me, unfortunately we lost our card, got a new one and the calls started again.

Unauthorized pre-recorded solicitation calling my business phone number, which is registered on the Do-Not-Call Registry. I pushed 1 to be transferred so that I could be removed from their solicitation list and the line went dead after about 30 seconds.

Also, the message "could not complete your call, please try again" is not a message from the telephone company. I used to work for a landline company and know this message is fake.

Same as everyone else. Did not leave a message. Cannot call back.

I wish there was a way to stop this.

They call every Friday, just like clock work err.. unsolicited auto-dialer!

Called my cell phone, when I did a reverse look up at White pages came back to a cell phone in New Mexico.....this screams FRAUD!  Never leaves a message and when you try to call it said call did not go thru.....

Elizabeth, the FCC takes complaints at FCC.com. If you are getting calls on your cell phone you need to report them to the FCC not just the FTC.  Telemarketers don't know the difference between landline numbers and cell phone numbers since most people share their cell phone numbers with doctors and businesses who contract with collection companies, who in turn keep last known numbers and addresses. You must file a complaint but you need to know their name and have documented the dates/times they called your cell phone for the FCC to investigate.
Sometimes, you have to know how agencies work! what they can and cannot do.
Those on this forum need to protect their privacy. Be smart about who you give your PRIVATE cell phone number to since it's a service YOU pay for, not the scammers and phishers on the internet.

I just received a suspect phone call from 575--513-7814. Did not answer the phone because I did not recognize it.  They should not be calling me, since none of my bills originate from there.

they keep calling me and don't know who they are. when i ask for a name the hang up.

This is spam. Report to FCC. That is all you can do.

HATE these people.The worst part is, when you ask to be removed, they just hang up on you. You can't even get out of their database.  Which is, frankly, a huge waste of time on their part becaues I will never be a "hot" lead. The last time I bought something over the phone was..um, never.

Also tell everyone you know not to take advantage of any such "offers."  People only continue calling this way because, unbelievably, it is popular, which means gullible people actually participate.

received call saying there is nothing wrong with my credit account, although no specific account is mentioned but it is imperitave that I lower my interest rate by pressing 1 to speak to a live operator.  I have pressed 3 as suggested to stop further calls but to no avail.

I never answer. After the first call, I enter the number in my reject call list, so they can't call back...or at least I don't get it b/c it's rejected.

PRESS ONE TO SPEAK WITH A LIVE OPERATOR, WHICH I HAVE DONE AND TOLD THEM THAT I DO NOT HAVE ANY CREDIT CARDS , I  WAS ALSO GIVEN THE OPTION OF PRESSING THREE TO  STOP ANY MORE CALLS. WHICH I HAVE DONE MANY TIMES.

Same story as the rest. Pressed 1 and asked what credit card company it was and got hung up on. Pissed me off! If they call again, I think I will go along with it to get more information about who the hell it is. So weird!
