Received a call from them around 5PM ET, and my phone number is on the national Do Not Call list, so this company is likely ignoring that list. I didn't answer, so I don't know what they want. They did not leave a message.

I told the caller that I am registered with the National Do Not Call list,He asked me how much I paid,
I told the jerk that it was free,and he said "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" and hung up.
How can these people do this legally? and who would EVER talk to them?

I have gotten calls from this number and when I press 9 to tell them I want off their calling list - I'm already on the Do Not Call list - they hang up.  I'd like to track them down to stop them.

Told me I could lower the interest rates on my credit card, press nine to do so.........I didnt waste my time... No Bank would call you with a wireless number or Unknown number... No phone search would show the location of the call...... The same type of call came in last mth. Showed up on the caller ID as a wireless number & I ran it through Searchbug.com and it showed a active cell phone in Cordew , NJ

Same as above about lowering my credit interest. When I asked one question he called me a moron and hung up.

Caller doesn't want to talk to an answer machine.
That's their problem, I didn't asked to be called in the first place.

Repeatedly calls but never leaves a message on my machine (I rarely answer calls when the number isn't recognized or the name doesn't appear on caller ID).

Got a call at 4:20 p.m., 11/09/90 and didn't recognize the number so hit the auto fax machine button.  We've had a ton of calls lately and put our number on every "Do not call" list we know about, six months ago.  Some of the same callers are still calling but, regardless of the "Do not call" lists, there really is no recourse if they still call.  This is absurd.  

Anyway, I love the fax machine auto answer button and our phone that blocks numbers you enter to block calls (they ring busy on the other end).  I'd hate to see what it would be like if I didn't even have these to deter the callers.

Got a call from this number around 4:30pm on a Friday (today). I didn't answer it, never answer if I don't know the number/person. My voicemail said I had a message, but it was just a hang up sound.
NEVER GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE! This sounds like a definite scam.

They probably used the feature to have their phone ring when your line is free. Some people have that options on their phones, so they won't have to keep redialing.

oct 28 around 4pm.i answered recorder said "hi, im ratchel from credit card serves..." - i hung up - same call, same scam, i am starting to report these numbers to the do not call registry as violations.  bogus number which keep changing.  if everyone reports these nuisance numbers, maybe the fed will do somethig about them. Incidently, I've been out all day, got home, made one short phone call, then got this call from Ratchel.  Does anyone know if they have a way of monitoring our phone to know when a call is made (indicating someone is home), then they called.  could be coinsidental but it is very irritating!!!

i received a phone call stating they were a credit card service wanting to lower my credit card rates. i asked the lady what credit card are you referring to? the lady replied all of them. we can reduce all of your credit cards. i replied what was the catch and she replied that there was none. That she would need a little more information to help me. i was suspicous and told her i was on my way out could she call another time. she said i need
your name and number. i replied you alredy have my number. At that point she replied have a nice day and hung up one me. When i picked up the phone to answer the call i couldn't read the number. when the call was finished i got my glasses and read the caller id.
so i went on line to find out the location to this number and found this scam notice. And thought i should report this number.

Phone rang, it was 578-000-5756. Told me I need to lower the interest rates on my credit card, press nine to do so. I pressed nine. I was transferred to an older sounding man. Here's how the conversation went down:
Old Man: "Would you like to lower the interest rates on your credit card? In order to do this you need to have more than $4,000 in debt at the moment-"
Me: "Sir, what credit card are you referring to?"
Old Man: "I'm asking if you YOU want to lower the interest rates on YOUR credit card."
Me: "Sir, there are six people living at the address this phone number is located and four of us have credit cards--"
Old Man: "I GUESS you're not understanding me, I asked if YOU wanted to lower the interest rates on YOUR CREDIT CARD, SORRY this is only for smart people,"

Then he hung up
