I told him F you.

I got a similar voice message on my home phone from 585-283-8485 from a guy with an accent "I am from Internal Revenue Service department - IRS. Return this call immediately. Take care!".  Thank you for posting.

Received a call from 585-697-4484 today. The caller has a thick Indian accent. He states he is with the IRS and not to ignore this call. Also to contact him or have your attorney contact him concerning a debt. He says his name is either Robert or Robin Smith. This is clearly a fraudulent call and I will be contacting the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Admonistration.

Don't return the call or give them any info!!!

Total scam.  I also received a message from a Steven Scott.  He had a terrible Indian accent.  I googled the number and saw all of the fraud alerts.  Beware..  Scammers are out there.  

I got a call this morning 12/15/2013 at 9:55 am, the guy has strange accent and told me that he's calling from IRS, he requested me to call back this #: 585-205-8208 related to my income tax. He also told me that I need to call back ASAP.

Interesting - this is the first scammer to leave a complete message INCLUDING (the same) call-back number. Accessing the IRS link noted by one of us above, I see the IRS is well-aware of this particular scam already.

Got a call from the same # as mentioned above and same contents and same threats of loosing drivers license, passport, and freezing all my accounts and sheriffs office is coming to my home to arrest me , so on and on . After I finish talking to one of them , I went to local police to inform them what experience these scammers put me through and I requested them to do something about it to prevent harassment to innocent people and good citizens of this USA.

I got the same phone number (585-205-8208) call a few times today. The guy with indian accent said his call from IRS about my husband tax income issue in previous year. And said my husband should call back at the same number to Mike Anderson ext 301 as soon as possible. We really received an IRS letter a month ago. So I asked that guy to send a letter or email to us what it is going on. But my phone shows this number is a cell phone number, and today is Saturday. It is very strange. Does IRS work on Saturday? Does the officer use a cell phone to call people about tax income issue? I went to internet to search the person and this phone number 585-205-8208. Wow!

Got a call from this number recently from someone claiming to be IRS person and I was asked to call back 585-205-8208 to find out my IRS issues.

This guy called and said his name is Steven Scott and his calling from IRS said our tax was not done and want us or our Attorney to call him back as soon as possible to fix the issues with the IRS.. We don't have any tax issues with IRS

Call me several times, said I have problem on my tax, ask me to answer some questions... I said to him I am not worry about the tax I reported to IRS.

i got the same phone call everybody like everybody just a while ago, when he ask me to call back same number to Mike Anderson ext 908
i said to him you dont have 1-800 number usually they use that number
i have the feeling is was a scam because he has Indian voice since when the IRS hiring Indian, just like other company when you call them late.
the people who will answer the phone from India and Philippine.
well am going to confirm it to them am not worry about the tax we dont have problem with IRS.

we receive call from (585) 205-8208, ask us to call back and talk to Mike Anderson, it didn't go through first time, second time it did, then asking phone number, we didn't give any information. when they answer they said that it is investigating team. don't give any information.

I received a call at 6:40 a.m. from some guy from India with the very American name of Steven Scott.  I swore at him for waking me up and he told me he did not appreciate it.  After I hung up on him, he called back again and left a detailed voice message stating that due to tax issues they are going to seize my assets and property and incarcerate me.  He left a number for his "Senior Officer" at the above number.  I called it and they did answer "IRS Investigation Unit".  I just hung up.

I received a call from this number yesterday (12/9/13) morning at 6:45am. I let it go to voice mail and a person with a very heavy accent (so much so that I could barely understand what he was saying) claimed to be from the IRS and said not to ignore the call or police action would be taken.
I knew this was a scam because the IRS isn't going to contact me by phone and leave a message (especially from a guy with such a strong accent you can't understand a word he says).
Just be smart and NEVER give any personal or financial info over the phone to anyone!

Please do not fall for this SCAM. I was so grateful for this website as it made me realize I was being scammed and prevented me from sending money and having to take further actions. I received a call from telephone number 585-205-8208 with initial name of Mike Andersen with fake extension of 994. When I called the number back three days later, a man named Mark Victor identified himself giving me a case reference number of 254CXR85 and Badge Id No of 9974755946. He was male with an accent and it was a loud background noise where it was at times difficult to hear him. He was able to look up my "account" based on my telephone number, name, and he had my address. He did not recite back to me any other pesonal identifying information.

He oscillated between calling himself an officer and an attorney, which was suspicious at first. He then went on to say I was in a "lawsuit with arrest warrant on 3 seated allegations" and said that "tax returns were not filed properly from 2009-2011 and that I owe 1/3 of the amt to the IRS--> perhaps due to a miscalculation. He said I was charged with fraud 6211A IRS code for an unpaid amount on account or that I could possibly be in violation of sect 1196A for tax deficiency. He said that the amount owed was more than that returned. He then threatened that an investigation team would be on the premises of my home within the next 2 hours to arrest me through local authorities and that all my bank accounts would be frozen to include all credit, debit cards, and that I would be "black listed". He then claimed that a packet with materials that needed to be "signed for" were sent to my house on November 25th and that no one was home to sign, and that one phone call was made to my home telephone number, and that the IRS does not email people. He then send once the case was downloaded in court in approx 1 hour an actual case number would be generated, my local DMV would be contacted and my car and possessions taken in custody. He then claimed he would talk to his manager who "looked and saw I had no prior criminal charges" and claimed to "make an exception with the following conditions: that I would pay $1, 789. 32 including the case affardavis charges of $289.32 and that an amount of $1500 would be accepted through a "tax pay voucher" at Walmart, CVS, etc. Because I had been granted a "restitution head". He Then said that while we were on the line, I would be recorded and monitored-and a recording of our conversation would be submitted. He said if I was in violation of any of these agreements or if I lost connection on the phone with him prior to the money transaction, papers would be delivered to my home and that additional fees of $35,000 would ensue. When I asked to personally speak to a supervisor and ask him if this was a scam, he became angry and tried to threaten my arrest. So I put him on hold saying I needed to call to get the money...and called my lawyer who told me that it was also a scam and hung up on him. The number to the real IRS is: 1-800-829-1040 and I will be making respective fraud and police reports. DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM. AND DON'T GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL IDENTIFYING INFORMATION.

I got a call today Sunday morning around 10 am. The number is from New York  stating he was a IRS agent asking for my wife with a very funny accent I asked  it was regarding he says is about serious issues with my itemized expenses in my imcontax he did not want to give the details of those issues and I had to call Mr. Michael Anderson  (585) 2058208  ext. 994 and  hand up Two minutes later I call that number to talk with that person and that number has a sound like a fax line never got thru now I found out this is a scam reading your comments what I think they start to set me up to call me another day to make it more realistic be careful this lazy people needs to work and make their money in a honest way.

A very heavy India accented voice called me twice, once at 10:30 pm and again at 4:30 am claiming to be the IRS.  He said to call at once at 585-205-8208 or face the consequence of arrest.  I called the number.  It rang three times and then went dead.

This guy called me and told me about back taxes I had to pay. Scared em for a second and then I had all my friends call him and f*** with his company. The number her called on was 585-205-8208. I recommend everyone who reads this to call them and keep them on the line talking about anything you want for as long as you want. They speak English well so use them to vent about your problems. Please call this company and get them to stop harassing people and hurting people that are already hurting for cash.

The message is an impersonation of the IRS or its agents. It appears to threaten litigation from that government agency. Report it to the FTC DoNotCall.

Received a call stating an error in my tax filing for previous years. Advised them to send it to me in writing. They claimed a sheriff officer would deliver it.

Just received call from a man with a VERYheavy accent. I asked to speak to someone else because I couldn't understand what he was saying other than he was from the IRS investigation department. The number he gave me was 585/205-8208. When I called it rang 5 times then a 'beep' as if I was to leave a message. I called again, same result. So I checked online the number he gave me when I saw all the warnings of fraudulent calls connected to this number.
Glad I didn't provide any information to this caller.

I got the call on Sunday a.m. at 730 Eastern time from a California number 530-380-2641 same script. How stupid are they and I wonder how many stupid Americans give these heavily accented people their information. IRS calling on a Sunday a.m. yeah right.

I keep getting repeat phone calls from this number. Un-solicited back to back to back calls.

I got a call from this number at 7:11 AM today, November 30th.  The caller pretends to be n IRS agent and speaks with an accent that is a bit difficult to understand.  I heard the IRS part and something about erasing the message would have serious consequences with the government.  I didn't give any info and promptly erased the call.

I check my voice mail this morning I got message from Steven Scott he said I need to call to this number 585-205-8208 when I call this number they said there form IRS and sound they harassing me and try to scare me using they cancel my drivers license and blocking my passport etc.. this people is totally insane and crazy if I where you  find the job instead doing this kind of scam this morning I cant work because of this call. I hope this people get in jail
