I keep getting frequent calls from this number as well. The caller doesn't leave a message. All I know is that the 585 area code is in New York. (I am in California.)

I just got the call and answered it. It was OfficeDepot telling me they appreciated me and told me about a coupon online.

I have received a couple of calls from that number also, but they disconnect when I answer.  I tried calling it back, but I get a recording that says "extension 0000, not valid" .... that's all, and you can't get to anyone real.  It's very annoying.  And, yes, the AC is NY.

Someone from this number [585-218-5500] has called a number of times and left no message. They called again 6 Aug 2010 and I answered. The man on the phone said he was calling from a company trying to track down a plumbing company. He said the plumbing company had a PO Box that was associated with my name and was I linked to the plumbing company. It was a PO Box I'd let go ten years ago. I told him that, he thanked me and hung up. Someone called again from that number four hours later (I couldn't answer) - no message. When I called back, I got an automated message that "Extension 0000 is not valid" and the call disconnected. My error was not getting his name, company name, callback number and then calling him back - next time I'll do that.

I just called the  800-466-5500, Ext 3 number and they are s****oles. "We aren't telemarketers because we just make the calls for other marketing companies. Since we are a 'technology company' not that actual marketing companies, we don't need to follow the Federal Gov't Do Not Call guidelines."

When I get pissed, I get even. Buh-bye concentrix.

I get several call a day from this number.  No one ever comes on the line on the other end no matter how long I wait  Sometimes 6-10 an hour.  I called 800.466.5500, their company phone, and they claim that they will take me off this list and I should no longer be getting calls.  They state they make calls for 100s of different companies and it will take them up to a week to get me off the list.  
I am on the do not call list and I get calls from them.

I have received numerous call from this number.  Sometimes several times a day.  Even when I answer the phone is answered no one speaks.  I want this calling stopped.  I am on every do not call list and this is a violation.

I got a call from this company and they hung up immediately after I answered. If you are going to sell me something, at least try to sell me!

Girl answering the phone has a bad attitude, but I had to answer that phone I'd be worse...

This company is been calling me once a week for the last 2 weeks.They never leave any messages.  I am not answering this call any longer.Please report them, so they get busted for harrassment so they can stop calling!

Got several calls from this number.  When you call it back it says, "Ext 0000 is invalid" and hangs up.  So, I used a number posted here earlier, 800-466-5500, Ext 3, and they were VERY nice, and told me they would get my number removed.  They apparently represent some 20 companies or so ...  But do call them, as they were nice about it.  I, too, am on the "do not call list".

I get frequent calls from 585-218-5500, phone ID says concentrix. They hang up on the machine. I answered and a lady said it was a marketing company for office depot.  I asked her not to call anymore and she was polite and agreed not to. Then a month later, they start calling again and hanging up on the machine. Their corporate contact info is:

I called the 800 number and pressed 3 to reach an operator and she said she'd add my number to their do not call list.
We'll see if it works the second time or not.

Explains a lot, same thing here, tons of calls, no messages and same thing on the return call and message 0000, then disconnect.

BTW, trying to reporting companies that violate the Do Not Call Registry is a joke.  I've reported several companies. The process is really complicated, has to be done online (multiple screens), takes a long time and requires an extent of documentation that no normal person would have.  I thought that by reporting the company's name, phone number and when they called was enough but, evidently not. I was notified each time my complaint was not accepted due to inadequate information.

I am receiving daily calls from this telephone number. I want this to stop.

Vegaspace -- thank you for the info.  I too, am getting calls from that number and when you call them back, you get a recorded message that says "extension 0000 is not valid" (or something close to that) and it disconnects so you can't get to anyone "real".  I am also on the do not call registry.

When I spoke to FTC their attorneys and investegators track violation and patterns.

They are a telemarketing company that represents several different businesses. They said they rep. to many companies so they dont know which one they are calling on behalf of so they can't take me off.

Okay I just got another call from them! I called them and asked to be taken off twice now! I have also submitted a complaint twice to the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY! hopefully it works this time.

Thanks, KRD - we too are on the do not call list, and hopefully now the twice a day calls will stop.  Our answering machine gave us the  585-218-5500 number, but no message was left.

This call is coming from a company called Concentric.  They are an inbound/outbound telemarketing company for about 15 different companies.  They told me they can't stop making calls because there's no way for them to figure out who they're making calls for.  Here's their phone number:  800-466-5500, ext. 3.
