Call is from SUNY Geneseo. They generally call nights and weekends. My spouse graduated Geneseo. I get similar calls from SUNY Binghamton. Neither school leaves a message. They call all year round. They are asking for donations.
I thought we paid in full for our time at SUNY, continue to support SUNY through our NYS taxes and through our present bills for children attending SUNY schools.
It's time for all the foreign students who flood our schools to pay their fair share. They are subsidized by the US taxpayer adding a further burden to all of us. Let them or their governments pay if we deem them safe to be here in the first place. Our children are not guarantied an education in the US under our constitution. Neither is the rest of the world.
BTW, when we and our friends attended college, we walked, rode bicycles or took buses. At best we had a beat up, old car, not BMWs with "Terrorista" vanity plates.

I am not a Geneseo alumni, but i currently attend to Geneseo and have started to recently get this call. It can no longer be students calling from dorms however because they have taken out pretty much all the dorm phones unless there are other ones in the buildings that i don't know of.

My phone shows this number on caller ID, now on my cell phone too? My daughter graduated from Geneseo in 2005!

Called me at 8:45pm and I didn't answer it because I didn't know the number. I waited for a voicemail but they never left a message.

SUNY Genese, Endowment/Fund raising department.  They will not stop unless you threaten them with legal action.  I received 6 call in the last month.  I asked them to remove me from the calling list several weeks ago.  They did not.  This afternoon I told them if I "ever received another call from them I would get my attorney involved based on harassment.  She said ok.  I then talked to my telephone co. (Time Warner) and they told told me how to put Geneseo's number on a blocked callers list.

7-9 pm is usually when the Geneseo fund raisers call

It's Geneseo. They keep calling, everyday. I always miss the call though, which is too bad because I want to tell them to stop calling me.

Geneseo Fundraising/Endowment, definitely. No other division or office would bother calling me; I graduated in '95.

I've received a call from this number 3 times in the past 2 nights. I didn't know who this was so I didn't pick up but without a message, I disregarded it. I recall Geneseo numbers starting with (585) 245-xxxx, but figured it couldn't be the school because the calls were always in the evening (around 7-9pm).

I just discovered that it's one of Geneseo's outgoing phone lines, and not necessarily the donations people.

So, while it might be someone calling for donations, it also could be any other department on the SUNY Geneseo campus.  Just fyi.

I'm a Geneseo grad as well. That number will show up on your caller id no matter who is calling from the Geneseo campus. The school does that to keep students' dorm phone numbers private. It could be literally anyone on campus calling you.

I believe it is Geneseo's annual "phone-a-thon" for the alumni fund.  Would be nice if the kids would leave a message.

Me too....it's definitely a Geneseo, NY number.  I was wondering if maybe it was a the alumni association asking for money?  I got a letter a week ago saying that I would be getting a call...
