I also received a call from "Hightower and Associates" from Lauren Stonewall stating that a federal warrant was going to be issued for my arrest today if I didn't call back. She didn't say it was a debt but simply that I didn't respond to a letter she sent. I received no letter so I did my research and founds all sorts of info on this company. I was supposed to call 202-618-8777....needless to say I didn't call!

This low life is also operating under Hightower and Assoc. PEOPLE PLEASE you cant be jailed for a debt. If you write bad checks the DA will contact you by letter and regular debts are NOT punishable by prison time. They also use phone number 512 379 5843 out of texas. I reported them to every authority I could get my hands on and I will not rest until they are nailed. They called telling me I would get a paddy wagon in my driveway to "stuff" me in it if I didnt pay and said they had all my bank records from my previous bank. Of course the first thing I did was walk into my old bank and verify they were full of crap! BOTTOM FEEDERS GET A REAL JOB SCAMMERS!!!

Just and FYI. Debt Prisons have been done away with (At least in America) sense about the 1850's

Hey, I am getting the same calls and has anyone found out who they are or who they are affiliated with.  O.k.  folks...here is what I know.  I called and reported to the Attorney Generals Office and to my personal attorney
and the Better Business Bureau as they stated this is what we ALL need to do to stop this illegal action.  The person who posted they went to jail probably works for them because IT IS ILLEGAL TO THREATEN, MISREPRESENT, ETC. and just so you all know Grace Hightower is Robert DeNiro's wife.  We all need to issue complaints because the Attorney General has the power to track this call and the company.  My attorney believes it is a scam, because you cannot be arrested without receiving written notification first and they have to follow up with written notification within 30 days of calling you.  My attorney is Ryan Schneider at 509-928-4141 and he would be happy to take this company on if we can figure out who they are!  Good luck everyone and for right now he says to just start blocking all numbers.

fair debt collection practices act.  which states a 3rd party collector. cannot misrepresent themselves and they cannot threaten jail time or make any sort of threats to individuals to obtain money!

This is not a scam. I just got out of jail for a 90 no bond offense for a worthless check. Be careful and do not upset these people. They sent the sheriff out to get me the second I told them I could not pay.

I received a very rudeand disrespectful call from this compant today as well stating the same thing they told you.

I received a call from this number from Grace Hightower stating that I was facing time in prison if I didn't pay a certain amount today she was very rude and disrespectful and hung up on me. I called the number back to speak with a supervisor and was transferred to Mary who stated she was a supervisor and informed her of what had occurred with the previous representative the conversation started off professional and quickly turned into verbal and mental disrespect and I was  told that I sound like a real uneducated black ghetto female that is scum and they hope I go to prison among other disrespectful comments.
