i recieved a call from this number it belonged to a john jacobs/ms.davis it was a arbitraition firm i believe bridgewater..well i called the number back they had a debt i owed from maybe 3-4yrs ago i actually forgot about..i thought they were a scam but they were a legit company and i called back then paid what i owed versus going threw the motions of everyday calls and getting a red flag on my name and social and never be able to get a loan if i need one...p.s. i paid back less than the loan was actually for

And he also sent you verification of the debt via snail mail, as required by law, and you didn't just pay someone over the phone because they told you to?

Actually, the Federal Trade Commission frowns on goons like you inventing false debts. I have the same question as the soldier: How does a man overdraft from a closed bank account? That fiction would be enough to merit a swift kick in a courtroom for a grand plus costs. Adding the factor of trying to dupe a deployed soldier, I would have tried for another 5K in actual damages for the emotional distress of he and his family. I recibe a phone call from this number asking me for my social security# and my Licence # I don't not from where is this call about how stupid they are I will never give my personal identification over the phone to anyone.please stop this people to arrasement over the phone.

I received a call from these guys and they wouldn't even tell me their name. They said that I owed 598.00 for some payday loan that I supposedaly took out.. To my knowledge I don't have a 598.00 payday loan.. what can be done about this?

Goofball self proclaimed attorney called stating I owed over $850 to US Bank for overdraft arrears, I wasn't home girlfrien took the call.
So I called them back, immidiately was referred to some other clown who threatens to sue me for this 4 year old debt? Bummer..Luckily I did fall victim to this once as I closed my bank account in 2007 when I was re-deployed to Afghanistan for the 3rd tme. They claim the debt was from 2008?
Strange that I can be writing checks & using my dead debit card 8,000 miles away during combat?
