Got a phone call from this number. The caller left no voice message.

I got thesame call twice but I got a bit scared because I do have a few loans out that are still being paid on...I thought stuff like that go to collections.  Can anyone help me with more info

THIS IS AN EXTORTION SCAM. Scammers pretend to be law enforcement (police, sheriff, Feds, AG's Office, fake cop agencies with made-up names) and may be using bought/hacked loan application data to extort money or personal info for fictitious crimes.

This was a message on my voicemail at work!! An officer Steven Ryder from the Federal Investigations Agency called saying that I need to call them back immediately. Stated that this is in regards to a criminal case against me and that failure to respond would result in my arrest. He then stated that his lawyers would be able to assist me if I call back. Left this number then "wished me luck" in resolving this situation.

I am so sick of these people!

Got  a call from this number saying that it was a lawyers office and that i took out a loan online in 2010 but they had my new e-mail address from 4/11 and the address that i just started using 3 weeks ago. The man on the phone was of arobic desent and claimed they were going to arrest me on 3 felony charges for some supposed loan that i took out online when i had no online access and was to busy with personal matters to care about a loan. They also called a friend of mine and said she was the co-signer and that she would be arrrested if she didnt give me the message and told her that I took out a loan for 10,000 when they talked to me they said that the loan was for 400-500 and that i owed 8,450. But could handle it outside of court if i gave them 622.38 that day or send them a fax with a promise to pay in two weeks. When asked about the backround noise and that they sounded like they were on a train or in some open area they claimed that it was the lawyers discussing my case. I disputed the claim and then was told that there officers were going to come and serve me papers and the afidavid that was attached. Come the next few days. Looking into the phone number and the supposed lawyers name they do not exist. This is a scam of people trying to get money from people who did nothing wrong. Do not fall into the trap and give them money. Also they asked if i knew 2 people that were also involved with this loan that i do not know, and gave personal information to a person uninvoleved that is against the debt collection laws they can not do that and didnt give the disclamer of a debt collector. Steven Ryder had hung up on us because we accused them of running a scam. They are maybe terrorist want to fund another attack on the united states. No matter who they transfrer you to it is the same person just changing his voice and pressing numbers on the phone.When we tried to call back the number is a constant busy signal. The number that they call you from is a different number and it a non working number! Do NOT FALL VICTUM TO THIS SCAM AND PLEASE DONT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR MONEY!!!!
