Just got a call from this number. Answered and there was nothing. No one there. Why would they call and say nothing???

If the number they are calling is your cell phone you may be ble to block it either on the phone or through your sevice provider website.

This number came up twice on my phone today how do I stop it.

I just received a phone call from these characters and did not pick up.

Would love to see them get arrested.

I receive these calls on almost a daily basis.  I do not answer them because I do not recognize the number.  They always call on my cell phone and only family and friends have that number as far as I know as I do not give it out.  They never leave a message so I figure it must be someone trying to sell me something or get me to go back to school.  I would really like to know a way to keep them from calling!

I keep receiving calls from these people...Albion NY...multiple times per day. I refuse to answer the phone again because one time I answered it and they told me they were suing me because of a loan I never paid off. I never even finalized a loan of any type. They threatened me by telling me a sheriff was going to come and arrest me for non payment. I was scared to death and cried for a couple of hours because I thought I truly was going to get arrested. I called a friend of mine who managed to calm me down by telling me it is a scam of some sort.

Got a call from 585-331-8616.  Line was dead when I answered.  Maybe because they had called a Police Substation?  Too funny.

This number keeps calling me, but even when I pick up they hang up almost immediately.  They have also used 1253429c454 (which is weird, but that is what appeared on my caller id.) And 518-712-9348. They called me first on my work number and were very rude and harassing. They claimed I received a payday loan from Cash Advance between November and December 2012 - which I did not, I browsed the sites but never committed or signed any agreements.  The person was very hard to understand, but very argumentative as well. I told him repeatedly I could not understand why he was calling me.  Then a supervisor, Casper Watson, came on and told me they were a law firm in New York and I was involved in a court case about a payday loan I never repaid.  I told him I had never heard of this before and I did not take a loan from Cash Advance. Both men I talked to were very rude and kind of scary! I hope they stop calling me.

They are clearly trying to extort money from people who don't know the law. First, if a sheriff is serving papers, lawsuit etc. they certainly aren't going to call you and tell you they are coming. They want the element of surprise, which calling and telling you isn't on their list.

The best thing to do is ignore these calls and block them, trying to sue them doesnt work as these bottom feeders move around a lot in order not to be caught.

Got a call from this number stating they were calling on behalf of Life Point. Said they received a message that I was inquiring about sleep apnea supplies. I told them that I was not and they said they would update their records and remove me from their call list.

Got a call from this number at 12:20 pm 3/15/13 stating they were with Life Points and this was a courtesy call for me. My husband stated I was not available.

Just so that you know, you can not be arrested for non payment of a payday loan.  Put your mind at ease because you are giving them what they want otherwise.

I signed up for food stamps online and ever since then I've been getting calls from out of state numbers. So I suggest to anyone signing up don't let them know you have a bank account.

I recently received a call from 436-867-87 saying that I owed for a $350 payday loan which I never took.  It was never in my bank account and I never cashed a check.  I did look for an on-line payday loan in May but I never accepted any of the offers.  He said that the police would be at my home the next day.  I was out of town but did not tell him that.  I kept telling him I did not take any loan and he would not listen he kept saying the police were coming to get me.  Now I am so stressed out I don't know what to do.  My friends and family say it is a scam and that he somehow got my info from one of the payday places.  I don't want to get into trouble and go to jail, but I honestly did not get any of the money.  The guy was agressive and had an english name but a thick Indian accent.  What should I do?

I found and these clowns are White and Case Law Firm, the caller id said 436-867-87  they called, asked for my name and said they where the police, the said my social and I asked for the manager, keep in mind they are foreign accents most likely Indians or from Pakistan, the manager Mike told me he is white and case law firm phone 585-331-8616, they are going to arrest me etc..

I received a call from 436-867-87 stating that they were a law firm and that I would be arrested tomorrow!  Stating that I have borrowed money from Cash Advance USA and had not repaid the money.  I had received a call approximately a week prior to this from I believe to be the same place stating that I borrowed the sum of $350 on January 27, 2011.  I checked my bank account and no amount of any kind was deposited to my account at all in January other than my weekly pay check.  So I knew it was a scam.  Now they have pushed it too far, threatening to come to my home and arrest me tomorrow at 10am.  They rattled off some charges, including check fraud, and a few others that I don't remember.  They also quoted Section 9 Chapter 19, which when I researched it appears to be some immigration law!  They are somewhat convincing and I am afraid they will get money from somebody that doesn't know any better.  They stated that they have my social security number and my bank routing number and checking account number.  But they want to confirm the information with me and I refused.  If they really put money in my account then the information would not need to be confirmed, the deposit should be confirmation.  This is a complete scam and I do not appreciate the constant harassment!

Cash net sent me an email about these people and here is what it said and what steps to take:

We sincerely apologize that you were contacted by a fraudulent debt collector who is in no way affiliated with CashNetUSA.  CashNetUSA is not affiliated in any way with the collectors/callers referred to throughout the complaint and therefore encourages the consumer to contact the police.  We believe the collection practices referred to in the complaint are illegal and they in no way represent CashNetUSA.  We are always more than happy to provide evidence of a loan to our customers, and they may also sign into their online account to access such information at any time.


We are aware of this fraudulent activity and are actively investigating all cases as well as cooperating with State and Federal authorities.  The Better Business Bureau and the Community Financial Services Association are also aware of this fraudulent debt collector activity and have issued consumer alerts.  More information regarding this alert can be accessed on the Better Business Bureau website.

For future reference, the following advice is offered to those who receive a suspicious telephone call about an outstanding debt:
Ask the debt collector to provide official documentation which substantiates the debt.
Contact the original creditor to confirm the debt and verify that it was sold to a third party.
Do not provide or confirm bank account, credit card or any other personal information over the phone until you have confirmed the legitimacy of the call.
File a complaint online with the Federal Trade Commission  at http://www.ftc.gov/index.shtml  if the caller is abusive or uses threats.

This number has called me on several occasions and an Indian Guy poses as Officer so and so from the dept of law and investigation.  They were threatning to arrest me and said that I had a lawsuit filed against me.  They said I had a payday loan with Cash Net USA.  I called Cash Net and asked them if I had a loan against my SSN and they said that I had an application in however, it wasn't approved because they don't approve in my state.  They told me that the number that called me was a scam and not to worry about it.  The Federal Trade Commission is investigating them.  I called these scumbags back and told them that they are frauds and that the FBI is looking for them.  Again, they threatened me so if any one gets a call from these people (they use different names and phone numbers), DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR BANKING INFORMATION.

WOW glad I looked this up-just got a call from that number and an "officer Shawn Mark" with am sure a fake badge number.  I took down all the info and called my local police officer who now has a running investigation against this jerk and about 5 others.  He claimed I took a $300 payday loan and never re-paid it....uh NEVER took a payday loan!  So I said send me a screenshot of it to which he danced around that and said I would be getting served papers tomorrow at 11am.  For others who sued them how did it go? This bs is getting old FAST and am afraid some will fall for it and give them personal info or worse yet money.  A few different jerks called and agreed to "settle out of court"..I am like FOR WHAT?!?! DON'T give them ANY info and certainly NOT your credit cards or bank numbers or MONEY!!! Keep all their info and save every threatening voicemail and report it all to your local police for starters!

Same here, recieved a vocemail on my phone first from alex white? then from mr John Brown. Same person with different names. Left a message with the last 4 digits of my social stating that if I dont give them a call back that they will send my information to the local court house, and put my social on a black list? what ever that may be? These people have nothing better to do, probably just trying to pull a scam, some how these people have my personal information and are using it to try to get money. I do not owe anyone anything. In the past I did take out paydayloans, those are all paid off. I did get scam about two years ago for a personal loan scam with "beacon financial". Im sure my personal information is out there and these people are just trying another scam. I will eventually take this another step to protect my identity, because these scamers are out there and I will not be fooled again! Good luck everyone

This company as also contacted my husband and I threatening to send him to jail, taking away his license and putting his Ssn on the black list. I warned the man to stop contacting us. That it is harassment.

This number keeps calling my house and making threatening statements to my wife and myself. We are on the national do not call list and still these people keep calling. A man called from this number and was cussing and calling my wife very vulgar things today 05/17/2011 at about 3pm. We are now obtaining an attorney an pressing criminal charges against this company. This is plain harassment and we have never contacted this company for any reason.
