This same lady Deborah, just called me from 814-631-1464 trying to run the same scam.

Got a call from a Deborah Love claiming my wife had charges file against her with ChexSystems, Belhed, said "Excuse you" and hung up the phone. Immediately called ChexSystems, they told us that if she called again to report her to local law enforcement. But, not being the type to wait, I immediately called and spoke to my attorney who told me it would be his pleasure to have a discussion with Miss Love. I called Miss Love back, told he this, she panicked and hung up the phone.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

Yes this number keeps calling my job and I they have been asked to stop calling this number. The caller called again today and was very nasty nasty and rude to me over the phone.

I just received a nasty message on my phone, from a Miss Deborah Love claiming that I had charges against me in check fraud.  I called the number  back and spoke to Miss Love. She told me that a company from Delaware was had filed charges against me for a payday loan that was taken out in my name back in 2009-2010. I was also told that I had to pay 2700 on a 500 dollar loan which accrued interest over a period of years. I was also told that I had to pay something in order from getting served and going to jail. I told them it did not sound like me, but they put Mr. Dan on the line who apparently had all of my information, including my social security number, address, car info, drivers license, and car plate info. He told me I had 24hrs to come up with 100, so that they could work the rest of the charges out. (by this time he had arranged for the 2700 to go down to 1700 and then to 600). He freaked me out to the point I was almost in tears (being that I am a single mother raising two girls and cant afford the 100 let alone the 600/700 for the charges). He made me even more scared when he said that if I could not come up with the money I would be served papers in (Louisiana) and they would come and get me from (Texas) to go too court and be served charges from them. He basically said I would be charged with fraud and possibly jail time. I was so shook when I got off the phone, I called my sister for advice. She told me they could not do that, but I was still skeptical because he had all of my information. My sister told me to pull up my credit report and see if this company was on my credit report and then place a block on my social sec to keep people like Miss Deborah and Dan from calling me and harassing me like that. As soon as I came online something told me too type the number in the address bar, and find out more about it. Once I did that, I saw these complaints you all had about the same number and people calling you. I feel like this is a scam, but just want to make sure of it.

There are other companies with names similar to Chex Systems, Inc. which may be holding themselves out to consumers as Chex Systems, Inc. Please be advised that Chex Systems, Inc. has no relationship or affiliations with these companies. Chex Systems, Inc. will never require payment from a consumer in order to investigate the accuracy of consumer reporting information, nor will Chex Systems, Inc. ever require payment in order to remove inaccurate consumer reporting information. Chex Systems, Inc. will never contact a consumer as part of an effort to collect a debt.

I dont even think the real chexsystems collects debts and is only a place for banks to check on possible new accounts.

I received a call from 585-351-6128 x326 stating they were going to take me to court if i didnt pay today and would garnish wages or take my taxes or increase the interest rate on my car payment to collect the debt. They are trying to collect a debt thst is 6years old. They said i must call her back within an hour to make the settlement payment through the network of attorneys. I requested the documentation and she said i would have it within the hour but it has already been 30 minutes and have not received anything. I remember the same thing happening about a year ago but they went by a different company name and i was dumb enough to make a payment before researching it. This ceheck systems one is trying to collect on the same debt. The more i research I feel pretty strongly that this is a scam. I am going to see what type of documentation i receive. and do some more research.

This is ridiculous, they call me a couple of times a week threatening me to go to court but nothing comes about. This has been going on for the last couple of months, these people need to stop!!!

I am still waiting on comfirmation on the transaction.  Definitely a fax company.  Sent me a settlment offer via email....Name of the company is check-systems.com.   After doing research, a company with a similar name has been put out of business in the State of New York.  Also, message in a later message my taxes were being researched.  IRS is the only people who care about my taxes.   Definitely fraud.

Just received a phone call from this people saying I owe money from Aug 2009-Aug 2010 could not give me an exact date.  Money was deposited from the Bank of Delaware.  I asked for proof but would only send via email would not mail.   She began to get nasty and when I mentioned I was going to type the phone call she promptly got off the phone.  Also, I have a recent chex systems report and there was nothing listed.  The company was trying to do me a favor and keep it quite about it.

Person name Debra Love left voice mail saying she was from office of check systems to inform me of an affidavit of complaint & are to evaluate the matter at hand & send it over to network of attorneys.  I had a 24 hr grace period.  If she dont hear back she will take it in consideration that I have failed to comply & allow me to have a decison to terminate without my consent.  Stated to call the #, then started repeating that if I dont respond decision... (then the call terminated)
I received this call 12/18 & havent heard anymore since.  I THINK this similar thing went on earlier this
summer & nothing ever came of it.  Just a bunch of b.s.

Called said I need to make payment arrangements for chex systems before reported to my county

Called my family member. Persons name was Debra Love...sounds fake.

Sry cant have anything here since i declaired bankruptcy & it all went away.
