They are calling me daily. Now, I am answering, sometimes they speak and sometimes they just hang up, but the first thing I say is "Hello, this call is being recorded" that totally ticks them off. Regardless if this is a debt collector or not, they are breaking the law with the methods they are using. However, if this was a legitimate debt collector and they were suing, you wouldn't get a warning, and the real sheriffs office would be knocking on your door, not calling around in a threatning mannor asking for your address, they would find you.  These people are breaking the law, and I wouldn't worry about any of their threats. Tell them you can't wait for them to sue you because you will be filing a counter complaint against them for harassment.  Do not give them ANY information whatsoever regarding personal information.

Same number called me and the man said the exact same thing. I called the attorny Generals office and they told me it was a scammer trying to steal identitys!

We are getting hsrrassing calls from 585 364 6528.    They have been told not to calk again and they are constantly threatening.

I started receiving calls from the number a week ago. When I answered the phone, there was a brief silence. Then a recording came on saying please hold this is the sheriff's office wanting an address and a time someone would be home to serve some papers. The sheriff's office won't give you a call. They will simply show up unannounced to serve papers and they will already have the address to serve.I hung up the telephone. I now receive a calls daily. I simply ignore them.

Put your number on the National do not call list. After 30 days they will be fined 1000.00 for each infraction.

585 364 6528.. that number has been calling my cell phone (I just simply ignore the calls and they never leave a message) but they're also calling relatives of mine saying that its the sherrif of the police dept in the county my relatives live in, I don't even live in that county, and they are wanting my address to serve me with court papers and if my relatives do not give them my address then he himself will come arrest me and haul me off to jail. This actually occurs every year, once I actually get them on the phone and threaten them with a law suit they leave me alone for about a year, and like clock work after a year has passed, they are calling my relatives again, saying the same lies I have mentioned above. I called back tons of times today hoping someone could answer so I could inform them that that are breaking the law and I am going to sue them, but all I ever got was a magic jack recording saying their voice mail box was full. I think this is nothing more than a scam. They've never provided me with proof that I owe them anything and until they do so they aren't getting a dime from me.

They also reported that he was the sheriff.  That I was to give someone who has never lived in my household the phone number to return the call.  I asked why didn't he call them and he said he supposed he could???  A New York phone number. Would not be the sheriff here.  For one I don't appreciate being deceived.  If this a legitimate debt collection they should represent themselves as such as they are calling people who have no connection with the person they are calling about.

Was told they have court documents to be served from the Sheriff's Department (he said the documents came from the Sheriff's Department); that only two attempts to serve would be made; if unsuccessful, a "Failure to Appear" would be filed with the court, resulting in a bench warrant.  The gentleman obviously didn't know I have worked in legal for 25 years.  I told him a "Failure to Appear" cannot be filed (a) without first being served and (b) it doesn't apply to civil matters.  I also told him a "bench warrant" is not issued in civil cases and he was "full of it."  Then I hung up.

I too am getting calls everyday from this # 585-364-6528. I answer and nothing so I hang up. I am sick of it!  These calls are coming to my cell phone.

Calls come in from 585-364-6528 every day and hang up from Fairport NY and has something to do with Magic Jack - p****off!
