How can I get this number to stop calling my job and cell phone?

women calls claiming to be from the sherifs office and that they have a complaint of fraud on my name and I am to go to the police dept at westchester county, 65 W. Broad street, suite 300, Rochester, NY 14641, with my laywer within 24hrs or they will send the police to arrest me. Then she hangs up on me. I call her back she refuses to give me any information on this supposed complaint. I have had so many of these phone calls in the past, but I am sick of it. These people just want to see if they can get you to send them money. They figure if they scare you enough you will send them money.

I received a call from this woman name Kathy Jackson stating that I had to take this case number down because of a lawsuit concerning some pay day loan.  Then she put me on hold and I hung up the phone.  She called back and left me a disturbing message that stated that the sheriff was going to come and arrest me on my job if I did not call her back.  The number was 585-398-6111 ext. 228.  I did not call back and if she calls again, I am going to tell her that I have a lawsuit too!

I have also been recieving these calls from numerous names and numbers as well as my place of work it was my boss who looked them up and came to me to warn me, I told her that I already knew about them because from the first time they called me I knew something was messed up so I called the place I got my loan from directly and they were the ones who told me it was a scam, I have since payed off my loan in full but to the right company and these people are still calling me and threatening me do they really think that us Americans are that stupid, PLEASE do not fall for these people at all make sure you look up all numbers you get before calling them back. I didnt get the name of this company because I didnt give them the chance. :)

I'm getting the same calls and they are getting better at this. Because they now use the correct address of your local sherif department and are telling you that you have 12 hours to turne your self in I called my local sherif and they had nothing on me.

I received a phone call from Justin Green saying that I owe for a loan that i received, I did not received the money, i asked him to provide me with my account that the money was deposit in they said after i pay on the loan they could provide me with information, so i did agree to pay because i needed that i had an payday loan outstanding then i began to research looking in to my bank statement i did not received no money from the company they said i did. i stop payment on the card on 7.21.11 they call my job threaten to arrest me on my job on 7.22.11 if i did not pay the money, i left my job so upset because i can't afford to help the police to come to my job i just start working there. these people needed to be stop i also got and call from a lady stating that she was with Federal Dept of Justice who was having the officer to come to my job to arrest me the phone is 585-398-6111 ext 3030

I also asked one of the callers the name, location of the courthouse where papers were being filed and he told me I was not allowed to call them directly. As in my response to Tony, a legit company wants to reclaim at least some of their funds and will be happy to provide you with any info that will assure that. Most will also be happy to reach a settlement figure that is an advantage to you both. Don't let them frighten you as they did me.

I had been contacted by several of these types of companies. I am a widow with three children still at home. They threatened me with arrest, fines, imprisonmt, etc. I am ashamed to say I paid 3$3250.00 until I got three calls from three different places within an hour of each other. Then, I checked with the loans I thought I had paid - nada. I called someone I knew with our county prosecuting atty office and was advised it was probably a scam - they can't threaten you with a warrant, arrest, fines, jail time etc. Today 911 came up on my phone. Seven yrs ago this month, two of my sons and their friend were killed in a freak auto accident in Colorado, on the 15th. It was a woman who claimed to be with the state sheriff dept, etc. I called everyone from Ok St Bureau of Investigation on down to my local sheriff and no one knew anything about a warrant, etc. I wasn't in a system anywhere. Don't allow yourself to be frightened into providing funds you can't reclaim. Anyone legit will be able to provide proof of who they are. I obtained copies of whom the money was sent to via my debit card - no one answered #'s, etc or said they would call back and never did, etc. We can't reclaim our lost funds. Don't do what I did - verify whoever you speak with.

I got a call on my cell phone that come up as a local number (the city police station I found out later) and received a message to call this number back ext. 891.  I called the police station since that's the number that came up on my caller id and they have no idea who these people are. I decided I needed to file a report against them since they spoofed local police number. I called the 585-398-6111 and told them that I filed a police report against them and the girl said "Do what you want, we don't care" (as best as she could in her Indian accent).

I have been getting these calls also. It has been going on for probably over a year now, it started when i was at work (walmart)  and would get calls all the time and tell other associates that  i was going to be locked up and i had criminal charges against me and everything. so one evening i got the balls to call them back because they pissed me off and he wanted to know where i was at that time so i could be arrested and i told him it was none of his business where i was, and he said he was sending the police out there to my home right now and i told him go ahead i wasent home. so this never did stop. they were also telling me they were officers and from the sheriffs dept. they were indian speaking people. i get tickled at them one time they kept calling and he would say "this is your freaking last and final call" i just started laughing. then here recently i got a call from a women and she said she was from the sheriff and i had 12 hrs and i was going to be locked up, well its past 12 hrs later and im still here and then she calls back and says i had 6 hrs or i was going to be locked up well here i am. i really thought these people were serious, but i dont remember ever not oweing them money. and i did about a yr ago send them money because i really thought i owed it but i quit sending it. so i dont answer them and if i did owe money them im sure i would get a warrent in debt to pay it. dont send or answer these calls they even call from other numbers and the previous writer "the saint had most of the numbers that have been calling me i write down the numbers and i dont erase the messages from the answering machine either.

Lady with heavy indian accent called me saying i had a suit against my ss# & my name.
She told me I took out a $250 payday loan (which I have never done in my life!!) and told me I had 24 hours to go to walmart, get a prepaid visa card, put $450 on it, and call her with the cards information. I was visiting family when she called and I was NOT happy I had to go all the way home so my mom could call them acting like she was me. By the end of it, the lady ("kathy jackson" from Ny, Ny) called my mom a b**** and told her she was transferring her to the police... COMPLETE SCAM!!

i just got same call saying i have 24 hrs to call back or i will b asserted. thats bull.

an indian lady  name "Angela Jones" apperently anyone who applies 4 a loan on line  is being attacked by these scammers. But how did they get my home phone no.?

These people have started now to call my job i have told all the people i can contact but nothing has yet been done i will not talk crazy back i feel like telling them where they can go with their bs they start calling around noon everyday and continously calls my job and leave messages on my bosses voicemail for me

I just got a call from these people.  They said I owed money for a internet loan.  I never took out any loan from anyone.  They asked me to verify my ss#, and I was like what?! Don't think so.  I hung up and they called me back threatening me saying I was being sued for $6000 out of New York. I was like yeah right, I never was mailed a complaint for money or issued a summons to appear in court.  I told them that I work at a courthouse and to stop jacking me around and hung up.

Got a call from these people at work today and later on my cell phone, a woman with a very heavy accent told me there was a legal action against me and my social security number, which she asked me to verify- yeah right gonna verify my ss number to someone I have no idea what in the world they are talking about... when I refused, she got very angry and told me that "the police will come and get you and put you in jail"....

She had a heavy, Indian accent... Said her name was Kathy Jackson calling from ... State Bureau of New York.  office of Charlie Jackson...

I received a call from this number earlier today. It came through on my caller ID as 911. They left a voicemail so I called back and told them I was my mother. They then proceeded to give me, yes GIVE not ask for, my mothers information including her social security number. Said she owed a payday loan from a year ago that she never took out. Then proceeded to cuss me out and said I need to hire a lawyer because I was going to get arrested. When I asked who they were the lady told me she worked for The New York State Bureau of New York.

This is an online loan company. They threatened in broken english, "that Marshall's have warrants against my spouse and I MUST PAY!" The bank forgot to cancel the card when I was issued another because old one was lost. That is when I found out someone hacked our account. We have had to get a whole new account. We can't get these people to send us anything in writing to settle the matter.  We have tried to get documentation from these people pertaining to the terms, how much owed,, account number, ect. They won't give us ANYTHING! Some one took out $500 off old lost debit card and that is the account that they are attempting to collect on. Bank covered that due to not canceling card properly. These people are frauds. If it were a legitimate company or collection agency they would gladly provide documentation to settle the matter quickly. Until I get something in writing I am not paying a thing. Now they have started calling and they are blocking the number. Caller ID says PRIVATE NUMBER. I work out of my home and I have to answer because it is my buisness line. I can't block all private numbers.
