i keep getting calls from this number.

i dont know who it is because 'they' never say anything, its like there is nothing there.

i now just dont answer when this number calls.

This number has called me four times in the last three days.  No one is on the line when I answer.  I tried calling it back one day and it gave a disconnected sound.  This number started calling me not too long after another 1(800) was doing the same thing.  I looked it up on the internet and found other people complaining and saying it was a Canadian Pharmacy.

ID said New York.  Didn't leave a message.

I have received numerous calls from this number.  Initially I didn't answer because the number was not familiar.  Finally, due to the sheer volume I picked it up, but, nobody was there.  This has happened several times.   Additionally, I have tried to call it back and I get the disconnect signal.  Who is it and why do they keep calling?

Three or four times a day for weeks now. Caller ID shows "New York." They never leave a message on the machine. Who the heck is this?

Can this be stopped??

At least once a day I get a call from "NEW YORK 585-435-7568."  This has been going on for months now.  There's never anybody on the other end.  So what's the point of the call?  If it's just to annoy and harass me, then it seems to me that the FCC can get involved and put a stop to it.

This number calls my cell phone Monday-Friday every day. No one is ever there and if I don't answer, it goes to voice mail and leaves a blank message and of course charges me minutes. I have tried to call it and you can't get through. I used to get calls from a Budget Medicine company and when I demanded that they remove my telephone number, I started getting these calls. I hate these calls!

FYI: our number is not listed in any phone book or other location.

For the record, there WAS a very long pause before I got a human voice.  I almost hung up.  Reading this page, I'd like to add, that it was possible that I heard an Asian-Pacific accent in the caller's voice.  I'm familiar with Filipino sounds but not Malay or Thai as much. Since the conversation was so brief, I did not want to say I was convinced there was an accent, but there was a similar "clipped" sound.

The "drug company" is a lead.  I didn't know such companies could call your home and certainly they would want to be sneaky.  Such a transaction took place only once and literally YEARS ago!  It was also unsuccessful.  No others of any kind have been placed before or since.  It would explain the name.  We cannot recall, nor would I think, we'd leave a real phone number with that kind of company.  

Is it for certain that AT&T can block a single number?  That's GREAT information and we will look into that.

Like everyone else here, they called and called and called.  We finally picked up today.   There was a pause after I said hello.  Then insecure greetings - "Hello? Yes? Is anyone there?"  Female voice, possibly older - not one recognized.  We said "Yeah?" abruptly.  They asked for someone BY NAME, an unusual first name.  I stated we did not know anyone by that name (nor would it be their business if we did).  No one owes debt, I promise.

Could this be an investigative agency?  Where did they get the name from?  I'M AS UPSET AS EVERYONE HERE AND WANT AN ANSWER.

Do not call registry does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for you. I have been on the list since it started, to no avail.

you can record it using audacity, a free audio program

what calling you is not a person but a machine. what you need to do is put the "do-do-do the number you have dialed..." at the beginning of your voicemail message. those three tones are set at a certain frequency, when the machine hears the tones it will classify your number as a dead end and remove it from the list. it may take a few times but it will work, did for me.

I had the same problem and ended up downloading Call Block for $10.00. It works perfectly and my phone no longer rings from this number.

Go to donotcall.gov and file a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry.

It's a collection agency. Trust me. Most numbers that call over and over and over are collection agencies. Sales people have nothing to gain from calling a number that no one answers. If you don't owe money, chances are the person who had the number before you owed money.

I get a call from this number 1-2 times a day. I let the calls go to v-mail and I do not receive messages. I have called the number back as well and it is not a working number. Very annoying...
