These guys are crooks, tried pay-pal stint. When told we accept cash only stopped asking about equipment

called wanting to buy a car that was listed on Craigslist.  Stated he was at sea couldn't send a money order.  Total scam.

this guy is a joke! same exact scam for my truck on cl....lol now he says he will see me soon cuz i told him what i think about scammers! lol i guess dont insult this guy cuz he wont stop txting me.

I have a car posted on Craigs List and received the same text. I can't meet because I'm a chef and I'm buying the car for my sister. Can I pay with Pay Pal. Thanks to everyone who posted before me so I won't waste my time.

,,,,I too have recieved texts from this number about my car for sale.  Why would I entertain such a b.s. scam? Why would anyone do so?  Same  line of crap as everyone else here has posted. I only suppose they keep doing this type of scam because there are some suckers out there! lol.

Same tactic, "at sea, what is bottom line price?" No creativity, some dead head scammer. 585 454 9892  If you have an ad use some letters to spell out your phone number as this may be a crawler reading numbers. It came in right after I posted an ad  and before I remembered to use letters in my ph number. I am in Phoenix.

Same with me - I just texted back asking if his sister is a good mechanic.  Gonna have fun with this one.

got a text from this number at about 430 this morning asking the bottom price on a car im selling on craigslist, i've had more scam responses about this car than actual responses.  I wish I had a way to get their information from paypal and reverse scam!!

hey just tried the same thing with me. Same story about sister and being a at sea.   I told them to paypal the sister and bring the Cash to pick up the vehicle

The person texted me saying he wanted to buy my vehicle for his sister. He wanted to purchase it using paypal. He couldn't look at it because he was a chef at sea. His sister couldn't look at it because she was in the hospital having surgery. He wanted his agent to pick it up. His agent couldn't call me though, because he didn't have a phone.

Ignore this person, they are definitely a scammer.

Same deal - received a text in response to a car I have for sale on CL asking what my bottom dollar is. Clearly a scammer.

I received a text message about the two cars I have posted on Craigslist, I got the same story about being at sea and wanting to purchase the cars for his sister. This person wants your paypal info, do not give this person any info. This is a Craigslist Scammer, I hope this information help people who get a phone call or text message. Got a Text from this # 585-454-9892 asking me what my bottom price is for some furniture I have listed on Craigs List.  After I gave it to them... The number appeared again and texed me, That's fine...  But I'm working on a ship and out to sea.  I'm buying this set as a gift for my sister in WA and can pay you via Pay Pal.  Not really sure why they would assume I would ship the furniture when I listed it as MUST PICK UP, CASH only.  Think this is a scam, as I texted him back and asked for him to call me and no replies....  Thx for the first posting about your suspicions,....  It all makes sense now!

Same story as all the others. I told him I would only barter in person, then the story came out about his sister and being a chef at sea. Military can't use cell phones at sea. Niiiiice try buddy.

I received same text from this number, so I decided to check on line.  The person was asking what was the lowest price?  Can we do transaction via paypay. I am a chef out of sea and cannot pick up car, but I can have a company pick up car at your place.  I'm buying car for my sister...... so my text was; yeah ok, nice try scaaammerrrr....

I too got a text @ 2:29 A.M. regarding a vehicle for sale on craigslist from this number after posting at midnight. Thanks to this site, won't fall prey to this scammer.

I received same text from this number.  I am so glad I checked on line.  The person is asking same question he asked other people What is the lowest price?  Can we do transaction via paypay. i got a text about two cars that im selling and i dont know why they would text me at 1am when im sleeping .
i made it up that the sherife is tracking there number and they stop texting me but they kept asking me whats the lowest price i would go on my two cars ...... and i told them that i dont respond unless i hear there voice and know there name and find out more about them beacou i dont wanna get scamed by them....

Same issue here, txt for vehicle on CL, gave some BS about not being able to get to bank account, and purchasing for sister. Bogus!

They just tried to scam me about a vehicle that I have on Craigslist, however with the help of this site I was able to stop them in there tracks.
