I am aware that this post is 4 months old,  but  for the purpose of others reading,    this particular scam is coming out of Asia.  Probably India.   This is their typical method of trying to scare people,  who are law abiding citizens, into paying what amounts to Extortion money in order to avoid what they think might be potential legal problems.   It is nothing but a SCAM!   The reason that there has been nothing done about it is because the US government has a horrindous amount of problems in getting those Asian Government to co-operate in locating,  arresting and prosecuting them.  Most are hidden,  spoof caller IDs with phony numbers,  and leave no trail.   There is not just One,  but many of these scam call centers in operation primarily throughout Asia  and Eastern Europe.  Most of those hardcore scammers within the United states are in fact caught and arrested once a case of prosecutable evidence is built.  But those who are in countries who look upon the "Let the buyer beware"  principal as being the 11th commandment,  are more free to rob and steal their lives away.

I received the same type of calls, i ignore them.... the very next day they sent an officer at my home... i had to appear in to the court house.. i had to pay $1500 to court.. this is all b***s***...

what i want to know is why he hasent been stoped iv got the same calls. if  this many people know about it and reported it

I've had calls for the last couple of years from this number. Once I was given 585-502-7390 to call so they would take my name off their list. It worked for a few months, then they were back. I called again and I didn't get any calls for a month. Now there are back again... heavy accent, will hang up if I try to explain that Sherry Morris has never had this number.

Mostly the name of who they want is Sherry Morris, but it has also been other people. I've tried to call the number above, but it is always busy.

my name is William smith i got the call from the same number.thay told me to pay the money back which i owe from the pay day company. when i was check in my bank.it was right.and i paid my debt and i got all the legal form from company.so now i can say that i got the call from legal company.so thank you to save me from all legal mess.now i am free from my debt.

This number has been used for scamming people. They ask for your SSN because they are filing a Fraud Law Suit against you for a Payday Loan or Cash Advance you never had or received. The only way to get them to stop is to call them over and over again like they do to you. The FBI and Frontier Communications cannot do anything because this is a ported number masking a real number that is overseas.

Same boat as you Daniel, This is the biggest scam ever who is going to give them their ss# and any addt'l info not me or you but some elderly may do it, Its so annoying to get calls from these people especially since I dont have any loans at all. Big SCAM!!!

I have received calls everyday this week @ my job. They keep saying I own them money and that I will be going to court next week. I ask them for the information from court and they just say I better watch out. These people are are bunch of con artist. I have called the attonery general office and they told me not to even answer the phone. The guy that calls has a very heavy Indian accient and says he from United National Law Dept. Wrong THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAM

Very noisy phone call, could barely understand, mans name is Alex Mathews, broken english, asked him what he was collecting on and he stated that I owe  $500plus with fees, could not break down when the debt was obtained or from who, and refused to mail me information regarding a breakdown.  The scariest part is he recited to me my entire name, address, ss# and bank account information.  Again will not send paperwork to prove who they are and where they are calling from, Very Suspicious!!!!!!!!!

Also have called my work 5+ times and my phone everyday more than 5xs a day, what give what can I do?

they have called my cell phone 100'sx and my work 3-4 xs week the receptionist gave the messages to my manager who addressed me w/ it,, i called them and asked them to quit calling me and they keep telling me they are going to take my # off list,, but then 2 hours later they call back,, i called again and i advised that if keep calling i will sue them the man became beligerant and said that he will keep calling sense im threatening him,, and hangs up on me,,

I am getting these same phone calls and so are my parents saying that I took out a loan which i have never done.  Im getting the calls on my personal cell phone and work number.  I want this stopped. Its getting ridiculous. What do I do?

THey say that they are calling from some Law office but dont want to send paperwork to me to prove this.

A man with a strong Indian accent has been calling my cell and work numbers trying to get info. form me. Saying he was a lawyer and that he had a lawsiut against me. Trying to get my personal info. I think they may have gotten my info from a previous cash advance or pay day loan.   Help stop these guys and put them in jail. They are nothing but scam artist trying to get peoples identity.

They have called another another 12 times! I keep calling them and doing exactly what they are doing to me! So far I have I called them 10 times and keep talking angrily until they hang up and them I call them again. This seems to be the only way to get them to stop.

I have received 20 calls in the past 2 hours claiming that we have a law suit against us for committing fraud from US Cash Advance for over $300 we never received. We called the FBI and they say they are getting calls all day long on this Scam and say to just not answer the phone.

IM GETTING ALL THE SAME THING DONE TO ME ABOVE, AND TIRED OF THIS! ASKING FOR INFO AND I WONT GIVE IT TO THEM. ANYONE KNOW KNOW WHOE TO STOP THIS? IVE REGISTERED MY NUMBER ON THE DO NOT CALL . GOV AND THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE THE ANSWER! WELL WRONGGGGGGGGG

Someone named Dennis(? -- noisy line, heavy accent, hard to catch the name) left 10 -- TEN! -- /nearly/ identical messages on my answering machine for Gustafa MacMillian. He claimed to be from the United Nations Law Dept and that there is a legal case against Gustafa's SSN. He wants Gustafa to call back immediately. Needless to say, I'm not Gustafa MacMillian.

The messages are all nearly identical as I said, but not completely identical. It was not a recording -- Dennis actually called ten times and left the message!

This is the 3rd seperate incident I have had with these people and it is an indian male voice who has impersonated people many times...today it was officer alex matthews. Do not give any information. They have called my work 10 times today alone and the last time this happened I went to the police about it and also filled a complaint with the better business bureau. They are not in the same state I'm in and therefore even tho a misdemeanor, the police can't take action. Make sure they have not filled anything against ur credit because immediate action may be taken then

This number has called a member of my staff numerous times on her personal phone as well as at the office number. They have been asked several times to not call the office and to not call my staff member on her personal phone as well. They have never given her they are supposedly representing, just stating that they need her ssn and information in regards to a law suit that is filed against her.

I just got a phone call also, I'm sure they will call my work as well.  These are the same group of people that have called numerous times and always change their story & phone number!!  BIG SCAM
