I received a txt saying my HSBC  cc was limited.  I do not have an HSBC account.  This is definitely a phishing scam.  I am wondering who to report the info to.  Does anyone know?

got the same message multiple times. this time from 9176225555@tmail.com claiming HSBC Master Card was suspended. I don't know how they got my number. when I call the 208 323 8240 as instructed a female recorded voice asked for the last four digits of my social which I didn't enter. sounds like a scam. I wonder who I should report it to. any idea?

If someone has an HSBC card and enters their information, the account will be wiped out because it is a scam!  HSBC Card holder-DON'T PROVIDE INFORMATION TO THIS NUMBER.

I have just received two text messages on my cell phone that claim to be from HSBC.  I don't have any accounts with HSBC.

Both messages are identical; the only difference is the time the messages were sent.

From: 9173451111@tmail.com.  The message is: ?HSBC-5443-68XX-XXXX Card Limited. Please call: 1-585-533-1416? Sender: 9173451111@Tmail.com Sent: 4:46:41PM 09/30/2010 and 5:03:47PM 09/30/2010.

I notified T-Mobile, the cell phone company that the message came from, because I wanted them to trace the cell number and prosecute them for fraud or at least shut the account down.  But they said that there is nothing that they can do about it.

Got the same two texts also. second one from 9176079955@tmomail.net. Called the 917 number, nobody picked up, then went into voicemail, but I couldn't understand the name. Something like Ashton Clipboard or so. How can I get rid of these messages and report the guy?

2nd text message in 20 minutes.  God this is frustrating.  They are taunting me!  I may have to open an HSBC account to find out how this turns out.

I called back the number from a different phone.  I was asked if I wanted to reactivate my card. Next I had to enter the last 4 digits of my social security number. It took bogus numbers.  Next I was asked to enter my HSBC card number.  Of course I don't have an account.  I entered bogus numbers and it told me the numbers were invalid, on the third try the line went busy.   The female sounding voice was computer generated.  I wish I had an HSBC card so I could enter my number and find out what the next step was.  If anyone has an HSBC card, please try it and let us now.

I just got this message too saying that my HSBC card is limited. I also do not have an HSBC bank account. This is the second time I got the message. I knew it was a scam but I was curious so I called the number anyways. It asks for personal information including social security number. I don't know how people get away with this without getting in trouble. They are obviously Identity thefts.

I received a similar text yesterday. I am really tired of these kind of stupid scams. I just got this number a week ago and few people have it. So how the hell did someone get the idea of texting me? If it shows up on my bill i will contest it!!!!
