Called and claimed to be from the IRS.  Called three times to my elderly mother that don't speak English.  He sound foreign due to his heavy accent and was getting very impatient with me asking him all these questions. He explained that her taxes were not done properly and need to call this 585-633-1814 number and talk to Tammy Johnson.  I asked for his name and he said Steven Max.  My mom never filed for taxes last year, so there was nothing wrong.  Reporting them to local police and the IRS.  These as should fools need to be stopped.

Got same call from Officer Heather Gray from IRS.   Somewhat garbled.  Said to call them back before they take legal action, etc.  NOT calling back!

I am surprised that why the government could not locate these people and arrest them ?.

You must not live in California or else have never had the pleasure of attempting communication with county, state or FedGov offices located there.  They ALL hire folks exactly as you describe, usually with morbid obesity and terminal stupidity thrown in as bonuses.  I like to think of it as, "They speak 'Engrish' but do not comprehend it."

One of the many reasons I escaped Kalifornia 30 years back and moved here to God's Country.  BTW, the scammers call here, too-just got the call a few minutes ago and found this site.  Think I'm going to do what my 91 year old Mom does, keep a whistle handy and  do my darndest to deafen somebody if they call again...

Automated call saying they were going to take legal action against me!! Google search turned up this phone number is a SCAM

just got the same one when they said they would file a lawsuit "allegation" I told him I knew it was fraud!

"This on this message is intended for brandon-brandon(?) Brandon to ask-you(?) know the previous message. I need you or your retained attorney off like you to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is Dan Parker. I'm calling you from internal revenue service and the hotline to my division is 5856331814. I repeat it's 5856331814. Don't try to disregard this message and do return the call as soon as possible before any legal allegations that place where you how you're-doing-my-yard-that-is(?) it if we shall see any on income tax. Goodbye and take care of Brenda."

We have Xfinity readable voice mail. Above is the message that was left. Neither me, my husband, nor my adult children, owe taxes to IRS. Glad they have the house number and not our cell numbers!

Everyone who receives this BS call should call them back and keep them on the phone as long as you can, The IRS would never call you.

Just received the "urgent" message.  "Agent" gives you his badge ID number. Unfortunately, very believable because you are scared to dead, especially when he tells you, you owe a huge amount of money to the IRS. Told me I was getting hostile and the police officer coming to my house within an hour would explain everything.

Maybe if these people would have to actually work for their money rather than dreaming up scams, they would leave us alone.

P.s. I'm still waiting for the police officer!

I, too, got a call on my voice mail from 585-633-1814.  Couldn't understand him because of his heavy accent but was able to distinguish "IRS" in the message.  Did a search and thanks to you all, I know he is a fraud.

Got a call today from a computerized voice staYing it wad an agent from IRS.

Received a message on answering machine.Heavy broken English with most words unrecognizable. I could make out about calling them back about owing the IRS money and there would be litigation?

Yeah, I got the same call from this spammer.  They claim to be from the IRS.  Spoke with very heavy indian accent.  I told the spammer, that IRS DO NOT hire SPAMMER who can't even speak English.  And told him to go Fxxk himself.  And caller him a fxxxing spammer.  Asked him to die someplace.

You're a fool if you give these people ANY information.  They are a fxxxking spammer.  

I was already alerted about them in the local news.

Message left on phone machine for landline in area code 607 (southern tier, New York state); male, thick accent, in a mechanical monotone, as if reading from a script.  I listened closely in attempt to transcribe:
"? This message is intended for [my name]? Either you or ? attorney ? extremely time-sensitive ? My name is Sylvester Jones calling you from IRS Internal Revenue Service 585-633-1814 ?  don't disregard [?] ? call as soon as possible ?illegality of tax list [?] ? income tax [?] ? Goodbye and take care."
Almost completely unintelligible, except for name, number and "Goodbye and take care"(!)  Thanks to this site, i found link to IRS Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, where I found a form to report this scam. "Goodbye and take care!"

I keep getting calls from this number,  they either hang up on me or just sit there and listen.  well now they have made me mad,  so I just call their number repeatedly and listen or I just hang up.  fair exchange is no robbery.

Got a call this morning.  The scammers have gotten an automated female voice now to bypass the accent issue and sound more legitimate.

  Received a telephone call from the " IRS" (In India?) saying there was an Issue with my tax return. Told the scam artist that the IRS never calls, they send a letter, (I've gotten a few), Asked for their number, told me 585 633-1814.

I just got one of those calls.  I called back doing a *67 to block my number followed by 585-633-1814 and listened to some c**** jockey music for a minute.  I played along with his game and then told him to go *&$^ his scammer self after two minutes.  His response was the worst cussing I have heard - I really got under his skin!  I told him that I did not know that IRS agents could talk like that on the job and that I wanted his ID number.  I gave it right back not letting him get a word in then I hung up as he was obviously SO PISSED that someone confronted him.  

Received 5 calls from this number.

Recd call from this number telling me he was calling about a "discrepancy with the IRS" and telling me to call him back.  Said his name was Kevin Johnson (had him spell it out).

We received a voice mail on our land line phone on 6/5/14 at 9:17am from a man with a thick Indian accent calling himself Sylvester Jones with the Internal Revenue Service. His return number which also what came up on caller id is 585-633-1814. There were parts of the message that were incomprehensible.

Parts I think I understood said "This is a threat and extremely time sensitive. Don't try to disregard this message and do return the call as soon as possible before an illegal allegation takes place. We have determined that there is a deficiency in your income tax"

I am aware that it is a scam and have not called back or given any information to them.
