15857629912 just called my mobile - I never answer strange looking calls and after googling came up with a different site who inform me that it's 'Microsoft' claiming you have a trojan and they need remote access to your computer - very much a scam! Beware people - I've read a lot about this scam recently!
UK based btw

Got a call from this number as I was visiting a friend. My friend answered the call and told them that they were calling a business. They asked for a person by name and my friend told them that there was no such person here and they hung up. My friend said that the caller had an indian accent and didn't speak english very well. I'd file a complaint with the FCC and FTC, but unable to due to the government shut down. I did go to www.reversegenie.com and did a search of the number. I got a pic as to where the call was coming from...they were calling in the middle of traffic. Now if that isn't considered a scam, I don't know what you'd call it.

Got a call from this number as a friend was visiting. My friend answered the phone 'Johnson's Service Center' and he had to repeat it. Then the caller asked for someone by name and my friend told them that there was no one here by that name. They hung up and my friend told me that the caller had an accent and didn't speak english very well....sounded like an indian accent. I can't report the call to FCC and/or FTC, because of the government shut down. I did go to www.reversegenie.com and found out it's a landline, but the photo showed that the caller was in middle of traffic. NOW THIS IS A SCAM!!!!

We who value our privacy and our peace of mind are in a war with these monsters who make these horrendous spam/scam/phishing phone calls at all hours of the day and night. If their ingenious rackets were not making money, they would have faded away a long time ago.
Can we stop them altogether? We have to set our own boundaries about how much convenience we are willing to enjoy with our communication devices, and how much we want to put them away from our everyday lives -- so we can have times and places where phone calls cannot intrude. (Or are we so obsessed with not missing one phone call that may come our way that we have our phones with us, never out of our reach?)
Here at 800 notes, you will discover a wealth of ideas from programs to devices to help you set up a "brick wall" between THEM and your privacy. If one system does not work, try another. For cheap and simple, my choice is Caller ID; if I see a name and/or number (or no number) that I recognize, I don't pick up the call.
NOTE: On my V-tech land line phone, I discovered the CANCEL button. That puts paid to junk calls fast-fast-fast, at least to my satisfaction. I don't have to sit there and listen to the phone ring and ring and ring. Amen!

585-762-9912 computer support from "Microsoft" fraud. These calls always come from different numbers. Guy said his name is Kevin. He gave me a call back number of 857-466-7072, which can't be found on internet. I won't call it. Don't want them to get any more info.

Male stating he was from Windows and our computer needed attention. I let him know that we need nothing done to our computer and that they are not getting remote access (they have tried this before) and we are not due any kind of refund (which they have tried before as well). Needless to say he hung up, but they call regularly...

They scammers are either morons or geniuses!
Just received 2 separate phone calls on our company number, with callers repeating the same speech - calling from MS, my computer sent an alert, etc...
The problem is - we are a computer support company, and when someone calls us, from phone system greeting message they can hear clearly what we do!!!
Phone calls came from 512-477-0300 and from 585-762-9912

They called here as well telling me that my IP was used to steal money from a bank account and that was probably coming from a hacker. I told him to tell me what was my IP was and he could not answer. I wished him a good day and hung up.

They are still calling from this number saying that they are calling from Windows and receiving lots of error reports about several viruses on my computer. Wanted me to type something in the URL but I told them that I was busy and would do it later. Also said that they got my number from their personal data base. They stressed the urgency of fixing my computer for free. Of course I didn't believe any of this and the gentleman I spoke with politely hung up.

I get calls from this number or organization all the time saying my Windows computer needs service. Keep telling them I don't run Windows, I run Linux. When the call came in tonight, as soon as he started the "I'm from tech support ..." line I just laughed long and loud in his ear. He didn't like that. Claimed he was 90 years old with a broken hand and just barely able to help me. Sounded 19 if anything.
I told him the best way to help us both would be to take my number off his list and quit wasting our time.
For some reason he hung up on me. HA HA HA HA HA.
Maybe I should string him along next time, if there is a next time, see if I can trace back his IP address and do a little service work on his machine. Ah, I'd probably be the one to get into trouble for breaking into his machine. Maybe a honey pot for him to play in? That might be fun. If they are really running this from an Indian call room a computer full of nothing but pictures of naked women should cause a real stir.
btw, they probably have no personal information about you until you let them hack into your machine or you give it to them to get a new loan (except they'll be the ones taking out a loan with your info.) All they need to do is just call random numbers until they find someone naive enough to do what they want
