Caller tries to convince us that our computers are infected and that they can solve the problem on-line....

I just got a call from them too. Heavy accent. I looked up the number it says NY. I posted my missing cat on CL which I guess was a bad idea now they keep calling me. I just hung up soon as I started reading your posts.

CALLED ABOUT VIRUS FROM WINDOWS, INFORMED CALLER THAT HE WAS TELLING LIES.   AS I USE MAC.   I WAS THEN TOLS I WAS A "SMARTASS, AND F**C* - OFF

Just got a call from this number, man left a message with a heavy accent.  Said he was calling about our missing dog.  We posted an ad to Craigslist as well as a number of other sites.  Total scum to prey upon people searching for a beloved lost pet.

These people are getting our names and addresses through domain names. If you own a website domain such as www.whatever.com - you can check personal details by going to www.whois.sc/whatever.com and it gives them whatever they need to call you. Idiots.

Received a call from 585-762-9938 today at 1355. Was not here to answer but I have received calls from this same number a hand full of times at our other address and now here a few times at our new address. I want these b*****ds caught. Each call has been about our windows computer followed by abusive language when they didn't get their way. What they want to do doesn't bother me because their amateur ways could only trick a completely stupid individual, what bothers me is how they continue to get my info and call. I do understand that phone numbers are not the hardest thing to get a hold of but I think it's quite odd how I have now received almost a dozen calls on two different phone numbers. This needs attention and I'm posting this site on my facebook.

That number called our house and told us to look out the window to see the black car and them told us there was a bomb in the house and hung up. There was no car or bomb and we called police

Both numbers 585-564-2912 & 630 668 9832  are calling saying they are Microsoft trying to issue a refund. They want you pull up the run command, type in www.refund123webs.com and then install Team Viewer so they can connect you to the right department. An indian accent was heard.

Having a copy of the voter's list is not illegal. In fact, the electoral rolls are available in every municipal library in the country.

I hate these b*****ds.  Make them stop calling me.

I was at work with no way to answer... shame really, could have been fun.

Called and said he was from Pack Rescues(we had recently lost a dog and posted it on craigslist). I told him we had already found the dog and he hung up. We never called a rscue org in NY. Definitely some kind of phishing scam.

I live in Thailand, got a call from this number just now asking for my boss.
Smell something burning, I didn't transfer to him but check the number from the web.
Unbelievable!

Daily call from this number about 5 PM.  Clicks off when I answer.  Perhaps looking for an older female victim?  Caller ID states "Out of Area" and give 585, 762-9938

I live in the southern part of Sweden and received a call from this number today
they said I had won some free gifts and needed personal information
I hanged up the phone because I think it is some thieves

I'm living in France. He is even able to talk French. He said he was from EDF, asking whether we are the owner of the house or we are renting. My wife told him we are renting (this lie we use for not to be harassed). He meant it was not noted and hung up.
The call was at 11:20 a.m. MET today.

Just got a call from them. It's 12:10 am and they called me. I didn't pick up. Luckily I always use this site when unknown numbers call. Thank God for this site. I don't even own a computer...

They scammers are either morons or geniuses!

Just received 2 separate phone calls on our company number, with callers repeating the same speech - calling from MS, my computer sent an alert, etc...

The problem is - we are a computer support company, and when someone calls us, from phone system greeting message they can hear clearly what we do!!!

Phone calls came from 512-477-0300 and from 585-762-9938

Got a call 5min ago.from this number with the same old windows suppprt song and.dance.  told him.i know what he's going to show me and i'm well aware of his scam, said something like 'and so are you' and hung up on me.  This is the 4th time i've gotten a call from these retards now

This was a missed call to my UK cell phone, I live in Bristol United Kingdom, I didn't hear my phone therefore didn't answer it, but guess it could have been a scam as I know no-one from Rochester, but do other places in NYC, no one on my address list is noted as having that number, glad I didn't answer it!!!!

Caller called saying he was calling about my windows computer.  Funny thing is I have not used a windows operating system for years.  I am a mac user.  Its a SCAM

Seem this is from local scam artist...calls from India call center had been stop.
Look like they got the voters-list..it's illegal to obtain such document, not to say to use it for other purposes.

Got call from this number , I am from India .

Got a call from this number at 10pm (EDT) last night. Did not recognize, although I am originally from the city covered by this area code and have friends and family there, so did not answer. No message left. Checked this web site today and am glad that I didn't pick up.

Call came in from at 585-762-9938 at 5:46 p.m. October 11, 2012. Did not answer as number is not familiar to us. This was followed by a call from 607-795-4626 at 5:58 p.m.and 512-451-1556 at 6:08. I answered the last call and a male with a very heavy accent said his name and the name of the company.I asked twice for him to repeat because I could not understand him. He said call was regarding my computer. I said, "Forget it, you're a fraud" and hung up.

Call received from this number at 5:46 p.m., October 11, 2012. Had to ask twice who was calling because I couldn't understand heavy accent. He did say what company he was from, but I couldn't understand the accent. Person said call was about my computer. I replied "Forget it, you're a fraud". and hung up.

said he was from microsoft tech support, east indian . hung up on me when I said that I was not sure he was for real and that I would call him back . rerverse look up said # from NY. was going to fix something on my computer for free.........
