These people aren't even consistent with their instructions, one place it's "press 2 for Do Not Call" elsewhere it's "press 9 for do not call"...no matter what you press, a live person comes on and asks if you're interested in getting their "free" alarm.

"<female voice>The FBI reports there was a home break in every 15 seconds. Your local police recommend you protect your home. If you will allow us to place a small sign in your yard, we will install a new security system at absolutely no cost to you whatsoever. There is no cost for the system or the installation whatsoever. To hear more, press 1 now. To be placed on our Do Not Call list, press 9. <male voice> If you would like your phone number removed, press 2 now, otherwise press 1 to speak to a representative. Thank you." (repeated 2 more times)

Called and left no message.. ;possible spam crime, etc.

They call I didn't awnser. No message.

Received call on cell. Did not answer. No message. Tried calling back, was busy.

The number called me and a lady asked me if I want some "polvo blanco" with cheap price. What' that?

I got a message that said "Press 1 to update your Google listing" when you press on you are forwarded to someone that offers to help with SEO. Assbites

They must rotate scam messages. I let it go to VM. I missed the first part of the recording but it mentioned the stimulus, predatory lending, damages, yada yada, scam yada.

press 1 to be removed from the list, press something else to verify, i think, it's your google listing. these people and everyone like them should be deported. the correct call type is not available below, there should also be an anoying category. these callers would fit well within that.

Just out of curosity,  what exactly is it that you think the do not call Registry is supposed to be doing for you?
Do you actually understand what it is,  why it was created,  and it's functioning purpose?
I'm just curious,  since I read so many comments about the DNC  "List",  I would kind of like to know what is being expected of it in terms of these calls you are receiving.  Thanks.

Pre-recorded message stating that FBI cites break-ins every 15 mins.  Offering free security system just for placing a yard sign.  The call cut off in the middle of the spiel (they terminated, not me).  I was going to ask to be placed on DNC list, but did not get a chance.  However, I tend to agree with another commenter, that any response only clues them to the fact that a good number was reached and probably compounds the marketing calls.

I answered call from this number today, but they just hung up on me.

Just received a call from this so called R2J2 Company also, they left no message. I did not answer due to the fact that 98% of all calls coming to my landline phone are all solicitors/telemarketers. I also have the Do Not Call appears that it does not work as it use to. There is not a day gone by that I don't have at least one telemarketer call, seriously thinking about having landline removed, no one uses landline to contact me other then telemarketers trying to get money.

I just got a call from this number; however I do not answer unknown numbers.  The 'DO NOT CALL" list is as phoney as some of these scams.  Maybe all these calls are being made by people at DO NOT CALL Agency.

Yet another robo calling scam. It never seems to end.

nothing seems to be done by the government about numbers we report...this number calls me almost everyday for medical alert delivery with local number 404-267-1384..They are not funding investigation or fines

Its also funny to answer as if they have called a crime scene and tell them they are now a witness as they have called the so called crime scene. I had one that studdered and stammered all over the place wanted me to speak with her supervisor, and she actually gave me HER full name! They are fools. And returning the spoof is fun!

tarted with the FBI reports high crime rates...ok....no company name..press 1 to speak to someone..all it did was hang up on me...press 2 to add to do not call list..this does not work as i have gotten hundeds of calls with that same starting message from many dif numbers...my phone company will not protect me (comcast) nor would my previous company (att) they just say block it ..you have limited blocks so this is useless...i have asked nicely to be removed to no avail..i have been downright rude and vulgar...still nothing..they keep calling..the numbers they call from do not take incoming calls.. so here is my idea fight fire with fire..lets use the tools against them...i gather if enough of us private citizens abuse the call spoofing services maybe we can get something done...everyone get a spoofing service and use it in the most offensive ways possible...like having your id show up as something vulgar or insensitive...maybe like JESUS CHRIST ...or profanity....or even worse that prophet from islam..almost got that guy killed for his cartoon...i hate to suggest this but the FCC needs to do away with these services so we can all have some piece of mind again. i suggest this because the only other way i see to change this is for everyone to cut off all their phones which will never happen. any other good ideas post here or other caller reporting sites. feel free to post this message as many places as possible..maybe together we can get some changes going thanks for reading signed tired of paying for phone service that people abuse

Always call and hang up after 3rd ring.  Am sure it's a robo-call of some kind, because a good portion of those types of calls hang up before voice mail can pick up. The average person picks up their phone on ring number 2, so these robo calls are configured to hang up on 3.

On the calls that I know for sure are not robo-calls, I'll pick up and say, "(my town) police, may I help you?"  It's so funny how many times I get an "oh, I'm sorry, I must have dialed the wrong number", or they just hang up.  

Sometimes I'll just answer, put the phone on speaker and  mute, then set the receiver down and listen to them go on and on with their pitch.  It's hysterical when they finish and ask what I think, and they get no answer.  There was a woman one time who kept saying my name over and over again.  "So what do you think Melissa?  Melissa, are you there?  Melissa.....Melissa, is there a problem Melissa?"  Thank goodness I had the mute on, because I just lost it with laughing!  One would think that if there's no answer, the person has no intention of answering.  I almost peed my pants while laughing when she said to someone in the background, "Bi*** hung up" and ended the call.  

I used to get upset with this stuff.  Life is too short, and there are too many other things in life that are much more troublesome than annoying phone calls, so I simply have FUN with the b****oles!!!  Try it.....You'll all be so much more at ease.....

Called ID says R2J2 Company.  Like FidFed, above, Selling GE Security System... at no cost.... blah, blah, blah... Oh, I didn't pick up.... this is on the answering machine... thank goodness for caller id.... don't answer if I don't recognize the number....always put on the "do not call" complaint section.

It does not appear that using the "Do not call" button actually does anything to remove you from the list.

I just got a call from him. if he calls again. I will engage in an attack. prank calling the United States Military will end you up in a military prison.

My Android phone suggested it was a spam call so I did not answer it. I now have that number "blocked" with Mr. Number on my cell phone so my phone hangs up on it instantly and I will not get charge minutes if they call again.

I received a call from this number - but no one answered when I picked up.
This has happened before.

I blocked spam calls from:  7139810098 and less than 20 mins later got a spam call from 5862313711
May Karma have it's way with these harassers.
