update - The scam is in the check they send you to pay for the software needed. Im sure it is a fake. after contacting merrill lynch ( more specifically Maria Gonzales ) i have indeed determined this is a scam.

Thats what i thought. I called merrill lynch to inquire about this. They could not give me employee info but htat is normal. They did give me an email address to send copies of communications to in their fraud department. Oh well I went through the online "interview" to hopefully send to the real merrill lynch to help stop this crap.

Anyone get a text from this number? Maria Gonzalez claims to work for merrill lynch (and one does in FL) and asks you to contact Mr Horst Zerbe online through yahoo instant messages.
