I have a ridiculously high interest car loan with this company.  They will call on your due date over and over again, even after the payment is made.  It's on the verge of harassment, really.  Time to refinance if you can!  

These people are relentless!  I receive 3-4 calls a day from this company sometimes this number but also use other numbers.  I never answer calls from a strange area code and thank goodness I can block these numbers.

I bet they are not even calling for me, being that it's apparently a debt collector or something.  I'm going to block this number from my cell.

credit acceptance continues to harass me with these constant phone calls.  I do not owe them-my payment was made by their direct deduction from my account.  The payment was deducted as scheduled.   I cannot stand this company ,

they cant track your vehicle... the company I bought my vehicle thru is shut down

I have a car financed through Credit Acceptance. They're really not that bad. I lost a job a while ago and got 9 payments behind. Any other company would have picked my car up by now. Only $2100 to go and my obligation will be done. They are nagging with all of the robot calls and if you get one on the phone, they can be very rude. So I never answer. I can't tell them what they want to hear and they can't tell me what I want to hear. So I simply avoid the stress and pay as I can. Trust me, they don't want my car back. Just let me continue to pay over the next three months and we'll be done.

Blocked Credit Acceptance using 517 and 810 area codes.  If the other posters are right, they have already found me. Just got a call followed by a text msg this time.  I never answer calls when I don't recognize the number unless it's from my area code or one nearby.

@ 'no name' Same here! I have been late 3 times and I expect that they will call. When they call and I pick up sometimes it hangs up on me, so I call that same number back, ask for someone immediately, and tell them the truth. I lost my job, and told them, they were understanding and said to call when Im going to be late and tell them when I think ill be able to make payment. I havent had an issue with this yet. Hmm......

This is Credit Acceptance Corp...they are a vehicle finance company...this number automatically calls you if you are one or more payments late on your car payments.  Sometimes their system will call more than 15-20 times A DAY.

They are calling my number which is a 'MagicJack' land line, it goes thru my PC.  It is not listed on any Directory Assistance.  And I have not had a car payment in over 15 years.  So, they are screwing with me, or someone has screwed THEM and given them a fake telephone number.  Either way, I'm filing a complaint with the Florida and Federal authorities.  Maybe I can get them to stop calling ME at least.

Yeap, it seems to be Credit Acceptance as they have progresses to using this number to call me. Calls are now from 586-461-1002 previously from 800-727-3572 and before that from 866-873-8507 and a number that caller ID shows as 'unavailable'. I have contacted several agencies and have been told there is nothing I can legally do about them. The 'do not call' list only stops telemarketers not collection agencies. Other than changing my number that leaves me no options.

this credit acceptance place calls me all the time too. I don't and have never taken a loan out through them. weird. They do call often too.

I don't get it.  I don't owe any money on a car, or anything for that matter.  Nor do I go through Credit Acceptance for anything.  I keep getting a call at 9am like clockwork.

call crazy times i called them back and they looked up my number and said they have no number like that i said well you just called 2 minutes ago. so i said well stop calling then and she said well how am i going to do that? i said well then who can i talk to? she hung up on me.

CREDIT ACCEPTANCE.   I don't even have a car with an outstanding loan, nor have i purchased a car through Credit Acceptance.

They harras you. When You owe money to them you are like the worst criminal out there!
My suggestion is never buy a car financed throu credit acceptance.
I used to work in a dealershipo and this company is a Ripoff. They only pay the dealers an advance towards the price of the vehicle, so the dealer loses money financing vehicles throu them. The salesman loses money since there are no room for commisions, and even worse the buyer is the one who loses the most.
If you dont pay they shut off your car throu a GPS system device they install before they deliver the vehicle.
So if something comes up and you cant afford to make a car payment they leave u with no car!

Received a call from 586-461-1002, when I answered it they hung up.  Rec'd another call about an hour later, same thing.

I have a new phone number and these people keep calling me.  I guess the previous owner of this number may have had an account with them.  When I answer the phone, they don't say a word.  They just called again.  They have no idea who I am and are just harassing me.  I swear to God, I will shut them down.  I hate scumbag credit companies.

I know it was mine so if I made the payment on time they wouldn't of called. It's their job did u ever think that they have a family to feed. Everyone has hardships somewhere along the road but personal I've been laid off from work and Trust me I"m more then one payment behind and once I stopped blowing smoke up their a**es and promising payment I knew i couldn't make and started being honest with them they are very understanding. They niver once  made a threat to take my car. To  be honest I've never dealt with a more lenient company. SO if you do have business with them maybe you should try to talk to them and then see how much the phone calls stop. once u do talk to them they stop unless you break the agreement made. Think about it if you where owned money wouldn't u like to know at least what was going on.

I GAVE THEM THE # TO CALL AS I AM 3RD PARTY, I HAVE TOLD THEM REPORTEDLY THAT I AM 3RD PARTY AND TO QUIT CALLING, THEY WERE CALLING MY JOB MORE THAN 1 TIME A DAY AND WHEN I WOULD ANSWER AND SAY " MY NAME, MY LAW FIRM NAME AND CALL WILL BE RECORDED" THEY WOULD HANG UP, FINALLY I GOT SOMEONE TO PICK UP AND TOLD THEM TO QUIT CALLING, THEY DID FOR A WHILE BUT STARTED BACK, I TOLD THEM ON FRI 2/19/10, I WILL CALL THEM OR HAVE MY DAUGHTER CALL ON 2/7/10 AND WAS TOLD IT WON'T STOP CALLS, I TOLD HER I ASK THEY DO AS I AM 3RD PARTY, BUT STILL KEEP GETTING THE SAME CALLS, DOES ANYONE WANT TO GET ATTORNEY TO FILE CLASS ACTION SUIT? I have a car loan through credit acceptance. I have poor credit due to my ex husband so i had to go with them. I had only one time where i was going to be late on a payment by 2 days....the lady said no problem and that she noted it in the system. I got in my car the next day and the GPS box they put in the car started making a high pitch tone that wouldnt stop. I called them and asked them what was going on....the guy tried to tell me it would do that until i make the payment! WTF?!?! So i said i was calling my lawyer....2 mins after i hund up the phone the sound magically stopped! Such a$$holes!

They keep calling me too. They have called 6 times today already!!
