I am currently 7 months ahead on my car payment, but yet they still call me wanting more money.  Seriously... Bad customer service.

Fir those who are being called repeatedly, stop avoiding the calls.  Answer at least one and demand they stop.  Under FTC rules and regulations they have to stop for a minimum of 7 days.  If they do not, you can sue them.

Making contact is all they want.  If they continue to call after you tell to stop, they violate federal harassment laws.

If your debt is over a certain age, here in Missour it's 5 years, the debt is uncollectable by law.  It can only sit on your credit report.

Unfortunately, the FTC website is down due to the Government Shutdown, so they're of no help.  When the get back to work? I suggest you look into your rights.

No one has any way of predicting financial hardships and most companies only want their money.  They may have programs to help you both keep your car and lower payments.

Credit Acceptance is relentless on their calling. They call the house, they call cell phones. If they have your work number, they will call that to! I am always current. What are they reminding me that I gotta make a payment? I have paid off 2 loans and am about to pay off a 3rd. Just wish they would stop calling all the time.
Other numbers to look for that they use:
810-277-1003
1-800-592-4252
517-338-1004

Yes. It is Credit Acceptance Corp.  They start calling multiple times per day beginning the day after your car loan payment is due.
