Oh, brother.   James, don't you mean "alex" or was that "Peggy?"   Now you've just validated all these posts with your shill reponse.  Mental sticky...don't try to justify your actions on this forum or others like it; it makes you look like a total fool, and we already know you're a scammer.

I had 3 calls over the past 2 days from this number. I finally answered on the third call.
He said he was calling from Tech Maestro and that they were the official techs for microsoft windows.
Told me to run "eventvwr" to see the number of error messages my laptop was sending out.
I told him I would not be doing anything over the phone as I did not know to whom I was speaking.
He kept trying to assure me that it was not a scam. Something about an Internation Router?????? and my computer was going to crash it with error messages.
I did eventually run my event viewer and for tha past 20 days there were multiple error messages there.
He wanted to sell me his service for remotely removing the issues causing these errors.
He gave me 2 options. 1 year servise for $199. or 2 years for $299.  Yeah, I don't think so.

I told him I would take the 3rd option and take my laptop back to place of purchase where I have already purchased a 3 yr warranty, and get them to check it.

They've been calling me every few days for a while now... but I just play with them and chit chat, make small talk and have fun with them.  Last time he hung up on me when I said I wasn't at my computer.  This time I got the guy to waste 20 minutes with me while I made lunch and pretended to be booting up my computer... kept saying that it's an old computer that takes FOREVER to boot... then he finally hung up on me.

It was Steven calling (always the same guy, South Asian accent)... said his supervisor's name was David and that he was calling from Detroit, although he used to live near the Harbour in New York.  He told me that there were over 5000 of them working for this company Tech Maestro, but only about 350 in his office.  Talked to him a bit about getting a job like him and he gave me this number.  He actually shows up as 1-253-802-0308 on my phone (800 notes has a lot of details on that number too).  He told me he's not married, so I tried to get him to talk about the girls he works with, but no dice...

Next time I'll insist on talking to Steven again... see if I can aggravate him again with my slow computer...

Hi,
This is something fishy as I called these guys and they responded positicely . They do not have any Lady Representative and I would advise Mad Mom ( who is possibly MAD) to call up the number and check positively.

Just got this call tonight... wanted to connect to our computer remotely. No way, Jose. No phone number, though. Unknown name, unknown number and an Indian male caller. He told my husband that Microsoft wasn't going to be responsible for damages to our computer if my husband didn't do what he was asking. I got into the conversation then and told my husband to get a name and call back number but before he could do that the caller hung up. The initial caller was female and transferred to the Indian male.

Just had a call from this number, they tried to convince me in very broken English that there was security issue with our computer.  We didn't do as they asked, hung up and googled the phone number they gave us.  I was told by the Police that there was nothing they would do unless we where a victim.  They did give me the Website for Phone Busters.

Just received this call and immediately knew it was a scam. Kept the woman on the line for 10 minutes or so asking her to explain things, and pretending to go through the motions of her instructions. She told me my harddrive would fail if I didn't have their tech fix it for $299. Came up on caller ID as "Long Distance - Private Caller" so I asked for the number. I told her that it was very expensive and seemed like too much work, so I was just going to buy a Mac instead. She said goodbye and hung up.

lmao.... I just phoned the company since several of my customers were solicited by them. They are a complete scam!!! They started with the pitch about International Router and the computer was sending out. When I asked them to explain it they gave me the computer sends logs to them. B.S. I told them that I was a IT expert and what they just said does not happen. They hung up the phone.... So I wasn't happy and phoned them back. This time I was tried selling my services to them. Let me tell you it was comical. I even put the guy on hold 8 times and he still stayed on the line.

Haven't had a good laugh like this at work in a while.

I only spent 6+ mins on the phone with this number!  Call display read "Long distance".  In conversation, she gave me the above number to "reassure" me that they were not a scam!! Ya right!!  I was too busy Googling the name & number & the eventvwr code she was trying to get me to put into the "Run" box on my computer.  I was quite curt & suspicious throughout the whole call.  Even told her that it's all over the internet that they are a scam, but she was too busy asking me if I was still there (too busy Googling them!) and if I needed the eventvwr spelled again!  :)  Anyway, I'm not phoning back.  Since when do help desks phone your house personally?!?!?  SUSPICIOUS!!!

Interesting little blog about this number & "company" of many names:  http://www.ebrandon.ca/messagethread.aspx?message_id=441523&cat_id=11

Just got off the phone. Basically the story was the same as above, very pushy, insisting that I was compromising the global internet and trying to sell his services for 199.99 which (he claimed) included a 2 year subscription to AVG antivirus. That's 30 minutes of my life I can't get back!

I just received the same call.  It was scary at first.  I told them I was  on the no call list and he acted like nothing.  He just repeated that I would cause an international crash in the computer system and he tried to make me feel guilty

When the initial call came in it said Unknown Name Unknown number.  At one point I said give me your number and I will call you back.  He said his name was Jeff and the above number was given.

My internet carrier strongly suggested that I make a police report.

I did not call them back

I had the same call and it is a total scam.  They ask you to type "event" into the "search programs and files" at the bottom left of your desktop.  This brings up the  "Event Viewer" on your computer.  Then they ask you to click on "Custom views" and then "Administrative Events".  There you will see a list of warnings and error messages that seem at first glance to indicate dire consequences and then they try to tell you that they can connect you with a microsoft credited technician to fix it for several hundred dollars.
Under Canadian law they are violating "the do not call list" and they wasted at least a half hour of my time with their phony scare tactics.  They are not calling from an international service centre for microsoft.
Their website jkinfotech-inc.com says they are website designers.

rec'd a call from this number indicating I had a problem with my security system in my computer and that they had a tech available who could fix it remotely for me.  I refused to provide the info.  She told me she was calling from an international service center for microsoft.  i would not give anyone access to my computer without knowing exactly who they were and she tried to assure me that it wasn't a scam.  I don't quite buy it though.  Anyone else have a similar call?
