How does a person get rid of receiving  phone calls from this number?  They've been calling the last few days - many times a day and night.  We don't answer cause we don't like surveys.

Got this call as well, not sure what kind of survey they are asking about, but I didn't bother.

I believe she said AWR, but it was hard to understand her accent.  (Not that she was hard to understand in general, but I couldn't quite get the organization name.)  If you answer, they'll tell you it's a quick survey.  It's not quick.  I bailed for the final time after fifteen minutes.  If you hang up, they'll call back, not taking the hint.

Someone else posted that they called after 9:00pm on the East Coast.  Sounds like they are scammers from out of this country.

Maybe they are not who they say they are.  Scammers tend to do that.

Why doesn't blocking it help?

Read the first couple of sentences.  They just copied that info from a website.  Is it really those people??  I don't know...The website shows the company is in Idaho and the calls are coming from Michigan.  Of course they can spoof the number.  Nobody knows who they really are.  

From the reports here, it sound really FISHY the types of questions asked.  Sounds like they are PHISHING for info.  I will NOT talk with them.

You may have contributed to a charity or political organization or bought an item from someone--probably online--who now has the legal right to contact you.  I have been bothered by this number for about a week.  I don't answer.  I did the same thing with 805-897-1183 which shows Telefund Inc. if you have caller ID.  I called back and their message said I had donated to some organization but I could request my number be removed from their system.  So I did.  Time will tell if I get no more calls.  I phoned the 586 number and a recording indicates Mountain West Research Center a survey company for many consumer and political groups.  They do not give you a chance to stop the calls by phone.  But, they give you their website:

this is a research center and they will call you for months until you answer and speek to a manager and insist they put you on a internal do not call list , they are very anoying people

This number keeps calling us. Sometimes up to 5 times a night. Try to pick up to tell them to stop calling,but they hang up before I say anything. This annoying and abuse.

Received 2 calls from this number roughly 2-3 hours apart. I did not answer, and they did not leave a voicemail. I followed the advice of someone above to use the block feature on the iPhone. Anxious to see if its successful!

caller id research center. Calls a few times a day

after 2 weeks of peace & quiet (after all the usual scammers decided to stop bugging us) a whole slew of calls from new #'s have started coming in-- this is one of them

They have called me a couple of times a day for the past several days.  I refused to answer since I didn't know who it was, and they never left a message.  I finally answered it tonight, they asked for me by name but did not identify who they were.  As soon as they asked for me by name, I firmly told them that they've called repeatedly, stop calling, and take me off of their call list!  She didn't say anything else and hung up on me.  I've never been so happy to be hung up on!  =)   Oh, and thank you to the rest of the people that posted info as well!  It gave me the info I didn't have (who they were and that it was for sure spam).

Fed up with calls from this number as well as other numbers who call to the point of harassment....  Invasion of my privacy.

Called it back..mountain west research is the company, but only got a recorded message.  Didn't give out opt-out options.  website is www.mwcenter.com

If they believe so much in their research, they should leave a message informing us of what they would like to achieve.  They only call at night disturbing us from a hard day at work, and they want us to answer a bunch of question!?  Forget it!

These jerks keep calling my house and they've been calling non stop for a week. I never answer but they asked for me as if they were talking to someone on the other end.
My dad answered the phone and the people asked for me, but my dad said I wasn't here. So the person says they'll call back in an hour and dad says that they shouldn't because I was spending the night at a friends house (which I was).
So next time they call I'm going to answer and have a prank set up for them.

Just received a call..wouldn't answer because I did not recognize the call on caller ID.  No message left!
