I've received this email as well. Only I received it in response to a real ad that was posted. I did not receive a call, because I currently don't have a phone service. I thought it was a scam from the get go, but am in deperate need of a job so I figured it couldn't hurt sending my resume. After the response email, I knew it had to be a scam. I came here just to make sure. Thanks to everyone who verified this. The company I originally applied for seemed legitimate, but this was a whole different company name and everything. The originaly company I applied for was called GloCell. So just be careful, if it seems too good to be true, it usually is.

Hello, you guys wont believe this. I been hired through the same company "4shoubra Inc" with the same exact email as posted on top with the number 14175. The persons name that is came from is "Jude Clark". The assignment was for her to send me a check for $900 - and it arrived today 10/21/11. Then to cash this check and then to send $50 GAS. Then to send the remaining to Julius Rottchi in Madrid, Spain. It is claimed that it is for orphanage. But after reading this I am shocked!

I don't know if I should keep the money or to carry on with the assignment. I mean what is the worst that can happen? Its not like I am writing a check from my own bank account with the routing number - I would of just cashed the check only then send it through Western Union to Madrid, Spain.

They are scammers!!

Just go to your telephone company web site and BLOCK the offending number, so it will not be able to come thru. If you do not know how, call their customer support!

But that's nothing permanent, because those Caller ID spoofers use a number for one day or so, then start to use some other number. The numbers they use are abandoned numbers, not yet reassigned by the telephone companies.

Caller ID spoofing is the practice of causing the telephone network to display a number on the recipient's Caller ID display which is not that of the actual originating station. The term is commonly used to describe situations in which the motivation is considered malicious by the speaker or writer. I almost fell victim to this scam.  The unfortunate thing is that the police said they couldn't do anything because a crime was not yet committed.  Seriously?  Posing yourself as an agent to a legitimate company in order to defraud someone out of their hard earned money isn't criminal fraud?  They wanted a Western Union number so I gave it to them:  1800gofuckurself.  In the end, they will be judged and I would hate to be standing in these people's shoes.  A lifetime money is not worth an eternity of burning in hell!

I just got this exact email from Jude Clark. Apparently he travels to Australia regularly and always will be back in THREE WEEKS.

I have not applied to any Craigslist jobs although I have a listing to sell an item. I do have a resume on Monster and have been submitting applications to positions there and many other sources. I learned the hard way to research a company very carefully, including the big ones. Had a nightmare experience with CIGNA in '07. They had bought a company my mother worked for in the late 70's - with the founder. I knew those kinds of takeovers often resulted in a lot of changes to the services. The CIGNA changes were all about profit over actually providing a worthwhile service. I provided that and the company that was paying for it (Quest) appreciated it. But I was a threat to CIGNA - the adjusters working for Quest were getting the picture of what they were paying other CIGNA employees to not do.

I received the very same email as you did.  I was thinking about it is this a scam? I told my husband about and he said go ahead hopefully it's not a scam because I got scammed back in 2008 on a work from home business and I ended up owing Wells Fargo $1800.  For which now I had file bankruptcy against it.  Then my judgment told me to research this company to see exactly what they are about and I came across this and boy am I glad that I did! I told my husband that email is a scam and I am deleting this email.

 Your resume has been reviewed and approved. 4shoubra Inc is a company that acts as a liaison between philanthropists such as private individuals, corporations and Non Governmental Organizations and the beneficiaries of such funds such as hospitals orphanage homes and various other charity institutions. Our role is to receive these funds and forward them to the appropriate institutions and ensure that the intent for which the payment is meant for is carried out appropriately.
       As my Personal Assistant,your activities amongst other things will include;

 *Running personal errands, supervisions and monitoring. Scheduling programmes, flights and keeping me up to date with them.Acting as an alternative telephone correspondence while I'm away.Making regular contacts and drop-offs on my behalf. Handling and monitoring some of my financial activities..
   Basic wage is $ 785 Weekly

  I'm sure you'll understand I tend to have a very busy schedule at this point,as I am presently in Australia, I will be back in Three Weeks. Hence, you will begin your office based position immediately i get back to the states.
   However i have a lot of pending assignments that need to be handled and i believe these tasks are simple tasks which you can carry out pending the time i get back, which enables you familiarize yourself with how 4shoubra Inc. You will be receiving weekly pay checks upon completion of your weekly assignments.
  Upon my return to the United States i will set up a formal interview with you and give you a tour of the Organization and introduce you to specific individuals you will be working with. Your assignments will include accepting payments from philanthropist donors on my behalf and purchasing items required by the beneficiary charity institutions, orphanage homes or hospitals involved and having the items shipped to them. If it is a big order then i will give you instructions on how to disburse funds accordingly.

How do we report these people? I've been receiving numerous e-mails about a person or a group of people of or even a company out of state and i have to do errands for them and what not and that they are helping an orphanage or whatever. I need to support a family and I've been out of a job over a year. I've been looking for a job ever since, but this economy just isn't at a good standing for a while now. Their e-mails is just fishy to begin with starting with the e-mail addresses. Anyway how to I report these con artist that just wants to target me and many other jobless Americans?
