Well, I got a timely response back from the registrar of meetupincanada.com (Internet.bs Corp.). No doubt canadahooksupnow is the same spammers.

They suspended the domain! Great to see a registrar take quick action.

The domain was registered about a week ago - how convenient.

Didn't check the hosting company, which could be the same or these clowns could be running it from a basement, but I asked the registrar to slap them on the wrist. Feel free to do the same - let's shut 'em down!

Seems to be a part of a trend here, mostly 587-644-XXXX numbers, all with the same message, minor details changed, most notably the name. But seriously, if you're going to make a computer scam that sweeps the nation, you might want to pick a more convincing name than Gerard.
Doesn't everybody named Gerard go by Gerry?
