I googled the metrocredit.com it comes up as metro manager . They are a data base company for various businessess.

I have been receiving calls from 1-855-969-8962 and looking up this number some say its a telemarketer some say its metro credit. Well now they are texting from number 1-587-880-2016. I have now blocked both numbers and asked not to be called or text anymore. Hope they listen.

Just got a text from them. It gives a name (not mine) and asks to call the number for a "business matter". I'm with Bell, so this isn't just a Telus problem.

Someone got ahold of my husband's debit card and tried to charge over two hundred dollars out of London.  Thank god our bank is diligent and caught it before it went through then later in the day someone called from 587-880-4353 to ask about his order.  Definitely a scam.  Beware!!

Got a call and could hear lots of chatter in the background. They were discussing Cap'n Crunch (cereal) and ruling the world. Personally (yeah, I'm judging), I don't think a lot of world rulers regularly buy Cap'n Crunch, but I could be wrong. Caller said my  name, "C?" and I said "Yes, who's calling?" and they hung up. I live in the USA, with no ties to Canada.

If this number calls you check with your bank first, then call the Canadian Anti Fraud Center.

calls at odd times makes you where on earth they are living. Very disappointing when you are busy doing something important.

Checked with RBC, they know nothing about this, a scam to sell some kind of insurance.

this number just called me & it was that danged "if you are a senior citizen" scam that calls here about twice a day every day, and it doesn't even let you hit one to talk to a real person.

Definitely report it to your bank and the police.

I got a call from them too thought it was fishy hung up and call rbc right away . Asked them about the number and they said its not one of theirs . It's a scam do not give them you info .

Missed a call from this number and they didn't leave a message.  I called back and there was an automated message saying it is a telemarketing firm called Samtel Solutions (or something lke that).  You can leave a message and tell them to add you to their "do not call" list.

guys just to try to link a common ground here, is anyone else a part of the Student loan class act law suit? Did any of you get a letter informing you that the goverment lost over 518000 people personal information? Im just trying to see if that may be how we all ended up as targets for this scam.

I keep getting calls from FAMTEL Solutions asking personal inormation. They claim to be my bank nut they are not!

These telemarketing scam *^tards have obviously gotten our numbers from the Royal Bank database somehow. It's nice to know that this institution is doing such a great job of protecting thier clients info and security. I'm seriously thinking of doing my banking elsewhere in  light of this.

Just received call from 587 880 4306. Googled # then I called it back.  Received recording - FemTel Marketing,, providing marketing/surveys etc banks and other types of agencies. Went on to say at the end of the message, If you do not wish further calls, to be put on DNC list, leave a message.

Just got a call from this number, sounded like a teen ager by the sound of the voice.  They asked for me by name and repeated my name several times after I was passed the phone.  I didn't recognize them so I didn't respond.  This number is on the do not call list and they shouldn't be calling me.

I was suspicious, the number on my caller id didn't say RBC (like it usually would) the guy claimed they were offering a credit protection package and that I wouldn't be charged for 30 days. the guy didn't even give me a chance to say no so I hung up before giving any personal info out. I usually just ignore these thanks to caller id,

So what do you do if you've received one of these calls and verified your personal info with them?

Got a call from +1 (587) 880-4306 just a minute ago saying the same thing. Googled the number and was led here. So sick of scams! I never got telemarketer/scam calls to my current number til I applied for a job with a company called "Crossmark". They do demos and samples in box stores like Costco and Walmart..
Maybe my number got leaked when I was doing all their online applications and training or something.

I just got a call at home.  He told me that he was offering a credit protection service to prevent identity theft.  He said he was from royal bank.  I asked if I could go to my branch and get it there.  He said no.  I hung up.

I personally believe they just want to get your information so THEY can steal your identity.

Call from this number.  No message.  I'm on the no-call list ... for whatever that means.

I have got a call from this number and they came up with RBC BANK Third party marketer and asked me if i interested for free credit report for 1month.

I find if you let them talk first, you say nothing, then hang up on them, they seem to give up for awile then start again latter, you just repeat above, their not from RBC.

They call multiple times a day from multiple numbers. I am lucky enough to be able to block numbers from my cell phone and have done so. If you ask them to put you on a DNC list they will just sell that to another company. So try calling your phone provider to get these numbers blocked.
