Got a call from this number from a guy with an accent calling from the "Federal Department of Grants".  I almost started laughing.  Then I asked where he was from and he said Washington DC.  I told him I was close by, and asked if I could come see him face to face.  Then I told him that he was trying to run a scam, and why don't I just trace the number and go beat the crap out of him.  He got really flustered and started cursing me out.  Funny.  BTW, they need "SCAM" as a selection in the Call Type below...

didn't say anything about social number said he was college advisor to give free admissions advice. Also sounded as if he were asian and when i threatened to take his number to find out who he was a sue him he laughed. This is definately some guy (probably the same guy in every case and probably only one) trying to pull a scam of some kind. Don't giv eout any info, personal or otherwise, if he threatens anything tell him to contact your lawyer (despit if you have one or not) and hang up.

left a message stating that his name is officer david doyle and that he worked for the NY Civil Courts. He also has the last 4 of my SSN

Said that I was being Federally sued.  Had the last 4 of my SS#

Same deal from a different number a few weeks ago

said i recieved grant money in the sum of $6,000. said i would have to have  to be deposited into my bank account and to give them my debit card# or i could have it wired by western union. i was told to wait for about 15 to 20 minutes before it would be delivered. i asked him the name of the govement office he gave me this address 200 independent ave. washington dc 20201 and the phone #206-201-2505 or 589-223-8911, they all sounded like japaness, with american names paul smith and nick richards. i told them that i would call them back once i checked it out on the internet.
