I get these calls everyday. The recording says 'consider this your final notice' B.S. they call again the next day. They 'say' your credit card co. has you up for reveiw & that is why they are calling. Even called & entered my ph. # in to the 'do not call database', not even that helped. This is very frustrating!!

Will not stop calling several times a day. Have blocked their numbers, but they have too many.

I'm fed up, can't whoever put out the do not call list enforce the law.  Why even have the list if they can't control it.  It seemed to help being on the do not call list with my land line but not the cell phone do not call list.  If anything, I get more calls  like this now than when I wasn't on the cell phone do not call list.  I like another customer don't even use credit cards.  Complete scam......

They identified themself as Card Member Services. How does a person get these people to quit calling my cell phone. They seem to just use different telephone numbers but it's the same thing. Saying it's the last chance to lower your card card interest rate. When you dial 1 to talk to a representative, they just hang up when you ask them to take you off their calling list. VERY ANNOYING and sick and tired of getting these calls.

I have been receiving phone calls everyday for weeks from this phone number.  I called them back today and it is a company wishing to lower your credit card debt.  When I explained I had none and want them to remove me from their list they hung up on me.  This is the same company that calls me from 503.563.0155- they too hung up when I mentioned the above info.

They called me too & I have ABSOLUTELY NO loans, credit cards, or credit lines of any type!

got a call 11-28-11 @4.25pm. they did not leave message. we do not use credit cards so how do they get our #? we are on national do not call registry, so what good is it when jerks like this can tie up our land phones and/or cell phones.l

I've gotten a few calls from these places.  I agree that tying them up is the only way.  Plus, it's fun.

Here's what I did:  I kept asking for reassurance that there wasn't a problem (the message says, "There is nothing wrong with your card").  I asked them what my interest rates are, and then I asked again whether there's a problem.  Then I said I didn't know my interest rates.

The person on the other end said if I could look at a credit card statement, they could tell me if they could help.  So I said wait a minute.  And I said I would have to look.  And I kept them holding for SIX MINUTES which is a new record for me on this kind of call.

Then, when I came back, I went through the whole routine again, asking whether there was something wrong with my card, and asking what my interest rates are.  When the rep asked if I had found a statement, I said I couldn't find it.

Then I asked for their number, and said I would have to call them back.  I was very insistent.  They said they couldn't give that to me, but offered to call me.  I said I wasn't allowed to give out my number to strangers on the phone.

I find that when telemarketers call, it's best to waste their time.  For as long as you can.  It reduces their profit margins.  And, most of all, it's fun.

Did not answer the phone call.  These people have nothing better to do than irritate people... They should get a life.

They just called me, no message of course. It's odd but I never received so many junk calls since putting my name on the do not call register!

sure there is........  get a very nice and loud airhorn like I got.  it gets them real good.

one blast and they'll only have one ear to do work with.  i highly doubt even the dumbest telemarketer scum will risk losing their other ear over a stupid job.

I have been receiving these calls for months also.  I pressed "1" and asked what company and they hung up.  I do not have a Walmart or Murphy's card.

Just recieved on a Do Not Call Mobile US Cell Phone - Told them I would eat their faces if they called back and quietly whispered their office address. No calls since then, hope that helped!

I got a call this morning from this number and I didn't answer it. I also get frequent calls like this from a lot of different numbers. I don't have a Walmart, Sams Club, or Murphy credit card - we don't have Murphy gas stations in my area.

One thing I learned from these phone number blogs is that answering these calls seems to increase the frequency of the calls. So if I don't recognize a phone number or caller ID, I don't answer it. Maybe answering these calls and actually talking to a person identifies you as a target for more calls. I've also read on the Internet that there are ways that these scammers can "hijack" phone numbers so the call isn't really coming from the number indicated. That number may really be a disconnected or non-existent number. Often the calls are originating from foreign countries where they are not subject to US laws and no call lists, so there's not much that can be done about them.

I too am receiving these annoying calls and also am on the *Do Not Call* list--ha!

Called offering credit card assistance. Claims for my existing credit card. LOL. I asked to be removed from list. Gu8y said NO and hung up. I receive 2 calls a week.

I just finally got to the phone to answer the call from this number that has been calling me for about two weeks. I pressed one to speak to an operator and when the woman answered, I asked what company this was and why they continually are calling my cell phone< to which she promptly hung up on me...BS

If many people would follow this advice, we could put them out of business.  Unfortunately, most of us don't have time to play with them.  I will, on occasion, keep them going as long as possible, but they usually call when I've got much better things to do .... like earn a living.
