This phone number calls and I return call and no answer.

Constantly get calls from this same company or whatever it is, sometimes it's a different number, and I always ask them to take my number off their list.  A few times they have been down right rude and call me names.

Continually get calls from random parts of the US, no one ever speaks or answers.

Hey Kim it is a big scam. Computers are calling millions of numbers. If you answer then the computer automatically registers it as a good number. Best answer is if you don't recognize the number then Don't answer. Do not call registry is only for legit businesses. FCC has fixed some of it but it is an uphill battle. I believe the answer lies with phone companies and not the government.

Is the FCC so ineffectual that it can't stop these calls.  Research shows the FCC fines the companies but then they claim they can't pay and then the fine is reduced.  Before you know it they are scamming people again!  I say PUT THE SCAMMERS IN JAIL!  Even the people making the calls should go to jail if they aren't smart enough to realize they are breaking the law!

So frustrated by them! They called me Monday and I pressed '1' to hear about the deduction in my CC rates and asked to be removed from the list. They hung up on me. They called again today and again I pressed '1' to request removal...they put me on hold! Before I could finish my sentence the girl hung up on me. What a scam. Any legit company will listen to you, remove your name and never call again. Once I find their name I WILL sue for harassment and take these people for all that they are worth.

Why can't someone do something about these people?  I got cussed out by the woman (can't call her a lady) when I asked if I had business with them.  Now I'm getting called EVERY DAY!

I have been getting calls from this number. I don't answer it because I don't know anyone in area code 601 and they don't leave message.

some man called me on this number and says he is in Malaysia and needs some money.  It is probably a scam.

That does no good since they spoof the number. They use disconnected numbers so you can't call back.

I am so sick of these calls. I get at least one call a day from a different spoofed number saying it's my final notice to lower my credit card interest. I know it's a scam, but being unemployed, I can't not answer my phone in case it's a call for an interview. If you dare to press '1' to talk to a representative, and you don't go along with their scam, they hang up on you. I either tell them to get a real job or scream in their ear.

the type numbers call me a lot can't stand it I try and find out who they are by calling them back and to no avail.they are scam artists never give out personal information to anyone over the phone.

They called my cell, tried to call back got no longer in service recording.

These Bozo's are now using 2 - 601 numbers back to back within 10 minutes of each other to get you to answer..Nice Trick huh?.....I set them up to an online answering robot that recalls their number back up to 10 times. And would leave them a recorded message if they answer appologizing for not taking their call and offerring them to call back.....ha ha ha..... Hasn't stopped them yet but it's only been a week or so....

The call was from the "Kelly from Consumer Law" identity theft ring.

I hate that cell phone numbers are being released.  I don't have enough minutes to be getting all these calls.  I thought this was the reason for "do not call" list which I have placed my phones on but to no avail.

Credit card scam. Same old story - - - new number. The numbers are spoofed (falsified on your caller ID) so you will never know where the call is actually coming from.  If you try and pres 1 (or 2 in some cases) to be "removed from their list" that does nothing other than confirm that they have a good number and they will continue to call and harrass you.  I feel bad for the eldery and others who are not aware of these scams and are innocent enough to hand out their personal info.  You can go to www.fcc.gov and file a complaint.  I don't really think they can do anything about it, but if no one complains then we'll never know....
