I have received several calls from an 'unknown caller' and they have left numerous messages regarding someone that does not live in my house. Don't know the name. Don't know the person. I finally called back the 8885902265 number they left and spoke with the gentleman who started to ask me for my personal information. I said I was calling to let them know the person doesn't live here and to remove my number. Again, asked for personal info. Told me he was with Cornerstone Resolution Group and even though I said I didn't know the person, started to tell me there was a civil complaint against him and that he should contact them as soon as possible. I again stated he doesn't live here and he asked me my phone number - I said you called me, it must be on that file just delete it. When I went on line to google that company I saw all kinds of messages about them harrassing people - just wanted to let everyone know it seems to be some kind of scam and I'm really sorry I called them back.

How do these companies get away with these calls when we are registered on the do not call registery?

Interesting that we have another debt collector using some form of the British Bot lady. Several agencies use such a canned voice, possibly to instill fear of authority.

Cornerstone is reportedly a ridiculous FDCPA violator and was spanked by the New York AG a year ago.

I believe that they are Cornerstone Resolution Group who specialize in trying to collect debts that are past the statute of limitations.  They imply that you have impending litigation against you.  They also imply that they can access you account to get these alleged owed monies.

Earlier today phone rang with a call from an "unknown name" but listed the phone number as 602.218.5836. Upon further research, I found out that this 602.218.5836 number is a landline based in Mesa, AZ. in Maricopa county and can be traced to Latitude 33.45 and Longitude -112.07 now, everyone who reads this message will know where this unwelcomed/unwarranted unknown name caller is located ... perhaps, that will stop them from calling the wrong people! The caller from the above number left a computer voice generated message. That female voice spoke with a "British - accent." She said that she had us listed as "persons of interest" in connection with someone who does not live here. She went on to inform us that if we did not call 1.888.762.5195 EXT. 1 back immediately, they would start removing "Deficients" from our account. Neither a company name or the woman's name were ever given. However, I do know that the 888.762.5195 is also a "landline" based phone, could not find any further information.
