Don't answer the phone if you don't recognize the number...

This number calls my cell phone and my husband's daily and they never leave a message. How can I block or stop them from calling??

It is definately a scam. Water company. Funny, they dropped the name of a friend of mine and said he told them it would be ok to call. The salesman said, "Are you friends with Joe?, I replied, "yes." He said, "great, Joe said it would be ok for us to call you and ask you a couple questions about your water, is that correct?" I replied, "no, it is not ok." He then hung up. (my friend is not named Joe.)

They call an never leave a message.

Ok, this is making sense. I had my "water sample" taken a few weeks ago. I do not recall giving them my number but I must have. I've been getting this call for a few days now but I don't answer because I don't recognize the number. I've called back and it tells me the message box is full. Thank you to everyone who has posted here. I hate it when I don't know WHY I'm getting calls like this. Lesson here, think twice before just passing out your number.

This number calls me all the time and when I've answered (on accident because I try not to answer unknown calls) they identify themselves as Valley Environmental and say they have my water testing results and need to schedule a visit to give them to me in person. When I've protested and tried telling them that I'm not interested they say I don't have to buy anything. I checked them out on the BBB and they have a good rating but all of this just seems like such a shady way to do business. This has been going on for months.

I receive calls from this number all of the time and the water scam makes complete sense because I gave out my number to a girl a few months back that said they were testing our water and she'd call with results. Well...taught me a lesson about giving out my number so freely!

I just got call from this number tonight. Anything I need to know to protect myself?

Same here.  I remember them going around in the nieghbor hood pretending to collect water, saying that they would test it and call me when they recieved the results.  Then I saw them pour out the nieghbors water. SCAM!

I keep getting calls from this number.  When I try to return the call it goes straight to voicemail or it rings and rings and says that this callers voicemail is full.  I don't know who it is, but I am tired of being called by this number and I am not paying money to find out who is harassing me.

I got a call from this number saying he was calling because a friend of mine by the name of "Jeff Dussen" or something like that referred them to me. He said something about checking my water. He talked very soft like he didn't want me to hear everything he was saying. I told him I had no idea who that person was and he said he'd call this "Jeff" to see how he knows me.
