I'm sick and tired of getting called in the morning, especially when I just fall asleep after working overnight shifts! D: I didn't pick up the last 20 of so calls, why would they think I'd pick up this time?! Too bad my cell phone company cannot block calls, and I can't just switch my number since I do get important calls for this number as well. *sigh*

Applied as I thought I'd be doing on-line work for Amazon. Within minutes I received a pdf file for how to make money on-line, which clearly wasn't actually working for Amazon. Then the next day, I received an email, from what appeared to be an unrelated company, which may be related to this phishing scam as they were asking for personal information.

I was receiving calls from this co., regularly. I am in southern Ontario Canada. I finally answered listened to the pitch.  Told him I do not use credit cards.  The caller then pushed to have me use him to get a credit card I told him I wasn't interested in credit cards I don't believe in them.  he made some rude comments and hung up.

I used to make "cold calls" for a home alarm company (explaining our offer & asking if they wanted our guys top come out & explain further & answer any questions they may have). While the company & offer was legit...one thing people did (that kept me from calling their number EVER again) was BLOW A WHISTLE IN MY EAR!!! Trust me...it works! So save yourself the the hassle & stress from unwanted calls...indulge in a whistle...and anytime a number comes up (that you know is a nuisance call), just pick up the phone & let 'er rip!! There is a chance they may call back once or twice more thinking they got a fax or wrong number...but as the saying goes "third time's a charm!" and you shouldn't hear back from that person again!   GOOD LUCK!!!

I also got the same experience JUST NOW!  Jimmy J outlined it best!  The difference is my caller was a woman and kept on telling me that if I was serious then I should do it now bla bla blah.  I couldn't even get a word in!  She kept on interrupting me with what I was saying.  Then I was researching again, and found this website.  Glad I didn't fall for that.  She gave me an 888 number to call, but she said it so fast I'm sure she was just looking at her phone pad and mentioned some random numbers.  I am so mad!!  More at myself really.  Now I'm a little bit paranoid if somehow they would figure out how to get my credit card information with out complete information.....

I signed up for this make money from home add on Facebook, started filling it all out until it ask for my credit card.. so i ditched the idea and went on with my days...

maybe a week later I got a call from this AZ, USA number, telling me they would like to offer me this position or whatever.. I can?t remember, was blindsided I got picked for a marketing job? I have no marketing experience so what is going on? Why was i picked o.O?

Within I?d say 5 min the guy is asking for my credit card info.. 59.95 for the website + 29.95 a month to keep this website up... this was all too good to be true as I in all honestly still don?t even understand what I would be doing or how anything would work within this "job" I told him I wanted to take a day to do more research because it all seemed "weird" and he was kinda pressuring me into giving him my credit card info, very intelligently too I might add.

he literally said to me: "You don't need a day to think about it because however you feel today you will feel tomorrow, you won?t be able to grasp the program without actually getting into it.. So what name is on your card? visa or MasterCard..."

I was shocked to say the least. i told him if he actually wants to help me he can call me back the next day... so i did some research and within 5 min i find this site and see the same results form other people.. so thank you to this website and to all who took the time to expose this scam.

Now here?s the funny part.. The next day this man calls me back. Hello James, glad you answered the phone, got a pen and paper and your credit card ready? FIRST thing he says to me -_- ... I literally went of on the guy i was swearing and yelling at him over the phone, telling him how he is a sick man who scams people for a living and basically was just extremely rude and vulgar with him, guess what he said??? ok James here the number you can call: blah blah blah Call us when you change your mind!

BAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH sooo funny it actually made my day, I actually hope he calls me again today so i can chew him up again (as immature as that may be.. I have a lack of respect for humans like this)

If its too good to be true.. it probably is..

hope this helps, have a good day and have some fun when these guys call you back!!! ;)

thanks to this post. this man called me this morning around 8:30 offering amazon products to sell but first you need to have a website. So you pay for the website around $29 every month and once you sell any product of amazon you get a commission. This guy is so persistent that he ask me of my credit card details. I told him I need to check first it it's still active and pretend that I'm doing something. After 2-3 mins I end his call.

Yes, I stupidly went to their online ad on FACEBOOK thinking FB ads were pretty OK.
https://www.facebook.com/250DayOnTheSide?v=app_190322544333196&publisher=FBPAGE&sub_id=CAN806
It looked like Amazon was looking for associates, but I get a hard-sell con calling me, a Steve who was more keen on how much money I was going to make and what my personal data was, refusing to let me have a couple of days to check them out.  If it is too good to be true, it probably is.

Lessons learned:
1.  Facebook ads can be scams too!
2.  As usual, if it is too good to be true, it probably is.

Answered an ad, too good to be true, but I investigated it anyway, didn't even go through with the offer, SCAM!!! I unfortunately gave my private cell #, used for emergencies only. They keep calling me on cell. Have added them to my REJECT list. I have also turned them into the proper authorities for phishing, (this is what I do for a living)  which is against the law in CANADA or anywhere else in the world for that matter. This time they have fallen into the wrong hands. The person(s) I have turned them into, have the necessary methods to zero in on the individual(s) involved in this SCAM!!!! Anyone who wants your money before delivering your goods is an alleged felon. You WILL be caught. I guarantee it!!! REMEMBER FRIENDS....never give out credit information or personal banking information to ANYONE, ANYTIME, as you will be hit on time and time again, without your authorization. Once these individuals have the necessary information they require to illegially access this, they will take you for all your worth, TILL THEY ARE CAUGHT, which I might add again, will be shortly. THIS IS NOT AMAZON. THIS WAS AN ADD ON FACEBOOK, MARK ZUCKERBERG, another person of interest.

They will keep calling you until you answer them...I didn't answer the call for over 3 weeks, but their annoying and relentless calls just got to me. So I answered and told them to stop calling me and that I wasn't interested. Just
let them know you want your number to removed from their system. It's a work from home scheme. You likely inputted your number to sign up but then didn't take it any further and didn't send money. Good you didn't send money.
