This number has called me 5 times over the last 2 1/2 days.  when i answer it hangs up, and when i call back its either out of service or assigned to another area code.

Just got a call from this cell phone number. Does anybody know how to have the number blocked on a cell phone? Caller said my name which was really strange. When I called the number back it said may be a different area code.

The problem is related to 3rd party rules.  You likely did not reply or give your information to 'them' but to someone who sold your information, who then sold your information, who then sold your information.  It will never end, ever, until they are required to give physical street addresses for their business so that pissed off citizens can walk in and take a baseball bat to the a**holes legs that keep calling us.  Anyone receiving a phone call, from anyone, should be able to look up for free the identity of a caller. Period. No exceptions.  If someone thinks otherwise, then when I show up and knock at your front door with a ski mask on, dressed in black, and won't tell you my name and want to make you a great offer, feel free to open the door, cuz that's what you're asking others to do. Gov't needs to FORCE the phone industry to publish all phone number ownership. This is NOT a privacy issue, it's the elimination of a criminal tool that our Gov't endorses.

got a call on my cell from this number and when I called it back it said it was not in service or defined in a different area code.

when this number calls YELL as loud as you can into the phone when you hear someone talk and they do not call back ha ha ha ha.

This looks like money laundering. The person said you have replied to a mail that we sent. I did receive some spam mail. But i never replied to it. This guy somehow got my number. He asked me to give my address which i didnt. I told him clearly that i had not replied to the mail. He said he would send a cheque which i have to deposit in your account and then trasnfer it to someone else for which he would give me a commission. Clearly money laundering. I said i am not interested and disconnected the line.

I've been getting calls too. I asked to speak to the supervisor and she cussed me out. I told them to take me off the list and to never call again. She said the only way they got my number was b/c I filled out a questionnaire online...which I did not. I have been getting TONS of solicitation calls the last few weeks. You can't call the number back. I looked them up on whitepages.com and it's unlisted but it is a number from Phoenix, Az.

This number calls my house countless times, and when I answer theres is no sound. Kinda creepy actually.

This number has been calling me about 4 times a day for weeks now.  I have all my numbers listed on donotcall.gov - but still these jerks get through!  What can we do to protect our privacy?

I have no idea how to block this number other than this:  I created a contact in my cell named "NO" then I added this number to it & selected a custom ringer of SILENT. At least this way, the phone doesn't ring, it's just registered as a missed call.

I get this call every day and when you call back you get a message that that number is not in service. STOP CALLIN MY NUMBER.

Getting daily calls from this number,,,try calling back but seems to NOT be a working number.  The number comes out of Phoenix Arizona.  The carrier is Qwest.

these people are so anoying, and have no education. They keep calling even when you try yo explain them you do not want them to call you. They get mad because you do not want to hear their information.

i got verbally abusive with these people after they said i was wasting their time signing up for their information.  I never signed up for anything!  Once our conversation got ugly he started in on private information like my full name and home address!  I just hung up and saved the number to DO NOT ANSWER, along with a special ring tone.  They still call, but until I can tape my phone calls I won't answer anymore.

These people have called me twice this evening....I would appreciate it if, the people responsible for these phone calls, if you read these "messages" to see how what you're doing is affecting the innocent, PLEASE.....If you're going to waste MY time by hanging up the phone after YOU have called me, just don't even bother calling!  Some of us DO have other things to worry about other than stupid stuff.....like hangups from you guys.  Don't you have a life?  Or is this how you earn your living?  Get a REAL job....one that you can be proud of, rather than harassing innocent people, and making us wonder if we're late on a bill or silly stuff like that!

i'm getting these annoying calls also, it is nothing but a scam. they are trying to sell auto warranty contracts. the guy told me it was for my 2003 toyota, i laughed and told him i never in my life had a toyota and quit calling my house or i will report him to the ftc. the other caller is wanting you to get into their marketing of credit cards, another scam. if your phone number is listed, more then likely they bought it. i am on the do not call list, but i am starting to think that someone there is giving out that information, it wouldn't surprise me!

I get a few soliciter calls, but instead of getting mad, I have fun with them. I pretend I don't speak their language, or speak only what i pretend to know until they get frustrated and hang up. Or you can scare them and let them know that "This conversation is being recorded and traced and is part of an ongoing investigation".  Tell them I need "Your name, your work and physical address. If you haven't gotten them to hang up yet and they are giving you the information (not likely, don't don't count on it) tell them you need their date of birth, and license number, ssn. If you get it, report it. Most important, don't not say you are a police officer, or any kind of law enforcement personnel if your are not. Impersonation a law enforcement personnel is a serious offense.

this # calls me 12 a day...when I answer they hang up..not a working # when I call back.  how can we report this? I think I applied for anonymous jobs on careerbuilder that was probably a scam.

Got a call from 602-248-0602, it was about becoming an authorized merchant banker setting up business' with a credit card terminal, being a bit business savy that I am, I began asking questions, hard questions, they want you to pay them $295 to get set up, pay $19.95 for a website that you must host, and they claim that they will train you to convince business' to get set up with your terminal instead of whom ever they have now. The guy was rude, never introduced himself, and began to interupt me while I was asking questions, he did ask me if I had any questions, so I asked.

He started raising his voice and I could tell he did not like being put on the spot.

DO NOT ENGAGE BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, THE PHONE NUMBER THAT SHOWS UP ON THE CALLER ID IS A DEAD NUMBER...

I kept getting the same msg as every one else. but i found out there is a way to get them from calling you. first Register your number with the do not call list it takes 31 days to complete but it stays in the system for 5 years. then telemarketers have to stop calling you. if they don't then you can report it to that same number. the number for the federal do not call list is 1-888-382-1222. I hope this helps all of you it did for me.

I have gotten calls from this number several times.  Finally, this time I answered and the woman asked for my husband by name.  When I asked what it was regarding,she said she was with AIG Investements and that she was responding to his request for information setting up a home based business.  She also said that he had given my cell phone as a contact number. I told her that this was not true an she got all mad and said that I didn't need to be rude and that since I was not him, I didn't know what he did.  I told her not to call back and she yelled that she would.  This is similar to another call I received last week from 888 440-3602.

My wife recieved a disturbing phone call from this number.  I had my cell phone company block the number.  Then I did a search to talk to the provider of that phone # (Qwest Corp) and they gave me the information that they could.  The # is from Phoenix Az.  I made a complaint with the Phoenix PD (602)495-5005 but doubt they are going to do anything. IF YOU GET A CALL FROM THE # CALL THE PHOENIX PD.  I'm also in the military, the FBI does not like to see us get threatened.  So I reported it to them (202)324-3000. Threats of any kind need to be reported. Don't let these losers mess with us and go about the lives freely

Just curious--I googled this # because I was suspicious of an ad for a puppy on azcentral.com...Think this ad is just a way to get ahold of phone #'s for unsuspecting people??
