when i answered a recorded message stated i received the call in error.

I called it back and it's been disconnected

they called, asked by name, then hung up

Asked for someone who doesn't live here.  Your phone number has been selected to be entered into a contest for gas and groceries. I said who is this?  She said in an aggrivated tone, "Why do you need to you who this is?" I said "because you called MY house". She finaly said, "Shiana". I asked "what company is this for?"  She said "RHINO WEST out of pheonix."  She said if I tried her carpet cleaner out I might win the prize.  I said "Oh I am really NOT interested."  She hung up.

Got two calls from this number and I let them go straight to my VM.

No message.  Thanks to previous posters for providing information.

This number calls me about once every day or two.  It can vary according to the hour of day.  It simply hangs up after I answer.  It may be a telemarketing firm with their computerized dialer gone wrong.

Let me tell you guys something!!!

I used to work for this company and can you believe that they make everyone sing the freaking stupid Hokey Pokey before getting on the phones??? We also had to sing stupid songs like 'Kirby, Kirby, dont be blue... we're gonna find a home for you!" Can you believe it?? ROFLMAO

Oh, and this one time they wanted us to parade all around the sales guys and hallways singing and marching! LOL

Let me just add, that I never sang.

I've gotten several phone calls from this same number.  It's a telemarketer but the calls stopped after I started playing their games.  The second time they called, they asked to speak to someone named Randy Webster or something like that (a name they obviously made up).  I surprised them by saying, "Hi, this is Randy."  The woman was kind of startled and I set the phone down and went on about my business.  A minute later I grabbed the phone again and told her that someone was at my front door so I'd need her to repeat everything she'd been saying.  She went on and on again.  Then when she was done, I apologized and said my child had been acting up, and I would need her to repeat her whole statement one more time.  She got fed up and hung up.

About a week later, the phone rang again from this number and I answered the phone by saying, "Good afternoon, Rhino West.  How can I direct your call?," and the caller hung up immediately.

Thank you so much for this site....it saves me a lot time, by not answering these calls.  I just saw the no. on caller id and read this info, while it was still ringing....gotta love computers

I got a call similar to the first here, from Shaina. Same stupid story, same offer. I took a few minutes to hunt them down.

They're Kirby vacuum sales. I'm going to see if I can pursue legal action.

I got this one as well. Something about being entered into a drawing for $1000 worth of groceries, just not alcohol or gas. Obviously a call center as I heard other reps in the background. I hung up on her.

Caller said her name was Cheryl and she was calling for Rhino West. Ticked off that it was a telemarketer, I wasn't paying too much attention to what she was saying. She was talking about shopping and mentioned something about how I couldn't use it to buy alcohol. I asked why she was calling if I'm on the "DO Not Call" list. She apologized and said she was calling from a computer list. I told her I'm entitled to sue under the "Do Not Call" law and I asked if she was in Phoenix (based on area code). She said she was. I asked for the address and she hung up.

A lady called and asked for someone who has never lived here.  She was very aggrivated that I was asking questions.  Said her name was Shaina with RHINO WEST IN PHOENIX AZ.  Said my phone number would be entered into a contest to win graceries and gas if I tries their carpet cleaner.  I said I was not interested and she hung up.
