I was a collector for a lot of years and never treated someone like this company treats the people they call.  I just hang up and continue paying monthly what I can and I block all their #'s. (You will find they call from many different #s, and each one is a number with a City and State below it...)  First off I very seldom answer an unidentified #, and before I give you even my name, you better tell me what company you are calling from, these collectors won't do that. I know FDCPA like the back of my hand, and the first rule is to Identify yourself to the callee, and the company you represent. You catch a bee with honey, these collectors are horrible at their job!

By law we can call from 8am to 9pm unless otherwise noted. Filing complaints won't help you.

You shouldn't do that in the end it doesn't help you. If you truly want them to leave you alone see if the debt they have is actually yours. Its not Hard. If you dispute the debt with the creditor then in most cases it's resolved or you report if not yours it's fraud. It's not a scam It's our job in this industry. If someone from Primary calls you then Verify your info. As collectors wehave the information anyway.

Pay your bills or dispute the debt. It's not that hard. As a collector in the industry we are not here to scam you. We are here to remind you of your morals to pay for what you have used. People who don't pay their debts are what we call professional debtors. All we ask is to verify your personal information because just disclosing the debt is against the FDCPA.-

By law we are required to do the following-

Verify you by address or ssn

attempt to collect

if you ask to Cease and desist then we can't call

Go to a payfone and keep prank calling their stupid toll free number until they drop dead of pure exhaustion. Keep asking to speak to a guy named Jerry. Then, after a couple of hundred calls, you call back and.say, in a deep basso profundo voice: GOOD AFTERNOON! HOW ARE YOU TODAY? THIS IS JERRY. DID I GET ANY CALLS?

Pestering me at work and on my cell phone.  Have no idea who they are or why they are calling me.  I have no debt owed to them and they are asking me to verify personal information to them to assure them they are speaking with the correct person.  No way will I give my personal info out over the phone to someone I do not know.  This is a scam.

I had an outstanding student loan with Wells Fargo a few years ago.  I've already been working with this company for the past couple years to pay it off.  I received a call from them today but didn't recognize the number, so I came here to look it up.  I'm surprised by how many people got some rude jerk.  My account rep or whatever is Elaine Lee and she sounds like the sweetest old lady.  She's never been rude or anything.  Anyway, I'm sure she was probably calling because every six months or so they check in to see if I want to change the payment or anything.

I keep getting calls to my cell phone at all hours from 602-279-1000. I am on the do not call registry so I have reported them. I did a little research and found this site. I do not have any bad debts so I have no idea why they would be calling me. They call everyday and hang up. I called back, a lady answered and said it was a business and wouldn't tell me anything more, but then transfered me to another line. That line rang and rang. I finally hung up. I called back and told the lady in no uncertain terms to never call my cell phone again!

They keep calling my job saying they are looking for my son and when I tell them he doesn't work here this lady Mrs Manriquez gets smart with all my co-workers and leaves this # 1-800-661-0086 if we ever talk to him, she acts like she's retarted.

I've been receiving calls from this company for almost a year now.  The person they are looking for "Sanjuanita Rocha" is not me.  I've told them this every time, but they still keep calling.
I decided to file a complaint with the FTC.  You can do so too by going to the Do Not Call .gov website and clicking on the link for complaining against Debt Collectors.
(Debt collectors may also continue to call you whether your number is on the Registry or not. If you have a complaint about a debt collector, please Click Here to file your complaint. For more information about your rights regarding debt collectors Click Here.)
I hope others will file a complaint too so the FTC will fine this company into compliance and decency.

They call but don't tell you anything. So if it is a collector then how do they get paid? I mean I don't get it....then they get rude and I just hang up. Unproductive and a waste of time.

It's a bill collection agency. I explained I'd been going through hardship. The guy was nice and empathetic and explained that a Canadian company bought out the amount owed for a credit card company.  He wanted to work out a payment schedule without interest, but had to verify it with someone else.  I was transferred and got a B*TCH from hell.  She wanted me to pay for more than half I owed that very day.. and asked why I didn't keep up with payments with no compassion or care to hear why.

A lady called me from this number twice (didn't leave a message the first time, I answered the second time the next day) stating she was from "GE, handling an issue with my PayPal account." Said that to discuss the "issue" further, she needed to confirm I was the owner of the account and asked for the last four digits of my SSN. I was suspicious but gave her that, at which she said "That doesn't match our records, but I can confirm instead with your home address." I refused to give her any more information, at which point she got very short and snippy, and finally gave me a bogus street name saying, "Is that your street?" It was not, and finally I was able to terminate the call with her.

Sounds like fishing for information to break into my paypal account.
