I called this 877 number and they told me that I was selected because I had completed a servey online (Which I have not). My roommate got the same text message and when he called the number he was told that he was chosen because of a travel agency he recently used (which he had not.)

I never got a junk text before registering my number to access facebook pages from my Blackberry. Now this is just one of the numbers that sends daily scam texts. Luckily, Alltel has an easy way to block texts (send message "B 5555555555" that's the letter B (space) and the number you want to block - send it to 8888, and you'll get immediate text confirming the number has been blocked. This doesn't count against your available number of texts.)

It's still a hassle. I posted a complaint to facebook and canceled my account with them.

I just got a text from them also and called it back. All it said was that the vmail box was full.

Are any of you on the National Do Not Call Registry?  I'm not sure if this qualifies, but I am registered (it's free) so I reported this number.  I did not responed with "STOP" as it deducts from my available texts.  This should be so incredibly illegal

These people sent a text TEXT to my phone to offer a gift.  I called to find out the name of the company.  They offer gifts and all you have to do is pay the SHIPPING CHARGES.  It's a SCAM but how did they get my phone number?

I also got these calls.  Just talked to Verizon Wireless and they put a block on this number so they can't text message my phone, but I can still get texts from other numbers.

I just got the same damn text.  How annoying is this.

Just got this text that I was a winner for visiting their website and to call a number to claim a prize.  Immediately went to Google, and low and behold it's a scam.  Imagine that.    Not replying to it...

I got the same one today. Thanks for the heads up!

Receiving text messages on my cell from that number.  Unfortunately I replied with STOP and now they keep coming with varied area codes.  How do I stop this, short of blocking all my messages? I am ticked.

Don't ever respond to those text messages. It's a way of confirming that scammers got a valid phone number. Ignore the messages from here on out.

Text messages coming into my cell phone.  Also, when I unsubscribed another number, (602) 334-5546 sent the same "you win a..." TEXT.
