Didn't answer. I am normally sitting at my desk and can google a number before it goes to VM and I can decide if I want to pick it up. They did not leave a voicemail . Added to my auto reject list.

My husband, seeing the local number, picked it up and yes, Fraternal Order of Police.  Let's put it this way, these scammers have been around for decades and they aren't associated with any police departments..I know cause I was in one at the time.  Back before digital, there was no way to catch them, they were trunked from hither and yon.  Now that our # has been identified as a working number, I doubt they'll let up & I'll need to block them.  Forget thinking you'll get any money suing them, when no one can find them.  Save yourself the irritation & block them if you can, or studying some of the Telemarketer Pranks and have fun!

I have Centurylink too. What they mean is that the actual phone NUMBER must be displayed. I have almost filled up my call blocking list with them. I wish it would take 100 numbers not just 25. And I wish you could manage it online. But it will block calls if just the name shows up as "unavailable".

Calls EVERY evening between 18:30 and 19:00 !!  My phone service can't block them because Century Link says it has to be an identifiable number.  My caller ID says " unavailable" !  IF this is really the Fraternal Order of Police.. perhaps one should complain to the Police Dept.??  These D*** telemarketers and/or scammers are a Total nuisance.!

602-354-9175  called and it was a telemarketer calling for the fraternal order of police,  trying to sell stickers.

This phone # 602-354-9175,  just called and my voicemail picked it up before I could,  however the the caller hung up and left no message. The caller ID indicates UNAVAILABLE.

I take the same stand as you, Dobber.  No accurate caller ID, no picking up the phone.  This one called me just now for the 2nd time - I keep a document on my desktop called DNA and log in each and every number that calls me without and identifiable ID (Unknown, Unavailable, Blocked Call, etc.) with column headings showing the number, whatever info shows up underneath the number, and the number of calls I've had.  Then I google the number to find out the area code if it's not an 800, 877, etc. type of number.  If this wonderful site 800notes.com shows up at the top of the search results, I know I have another number to add to the list.

And these b*s*t*r*ds had the temerity to call me on a Sunday.

HERE IS ANOTHER SCAM

I am scoring this as telemarketer instead of nonprofit because the caller was in appropriate.  Said he was calling on behalf of the Fraternal Order of Police, caller ID said just Phoenix AZ.  
1)  I am intolerant of any caller for any cause that does not display an accurate caller ID.  
2)  In addition, EVERY ethical nonprofit that calls immediately apologizes if you just say "Take us off your call list, please."  This guy started in again, I repeated my statement and he hung up.  The CORRECT response is "I am sorry to disturb you, we will take you off  our call list."  Screw 'em.  And block the number.

These people keep on calling me! I tried to call them back to tell them to put me on the Do Not Call List, but it gives me a weird message, then it hangs up. I had to wind up blocking them because they were being annoying.
