They call every day asking for someone who does not live here.
I keep explaining this to them.

This number just started and It is a creditor... problem is they obviously have the wrong number... and will are telling me they dont... I filed a full written complaint about the matter... and with financial companies written compaints are VERY SERIOUS... so I recommend doing so!

called today and an automated message, which was very hard to hear, was recorded on voice message asking whoever got the call/message to call back that number.  They call at all times, seven days a week.  Avoid them and never answer.

Tricia what you need to do is like my girl friend, she gives these 800 #s to ALL her e-mail friends.
 ALL these people give the # to THEIR e-mail friends.
NO MORE OR LESS THAN 30 days later by the calender, THEY ALL CALL THE 800 # and talk quietly for as loooonnnng as they can get these people to; ABOUT ANYTHING!
 These people have to PAY FOR THESE 800 #s sweetheart! My Girl friend is so smart sometimes she even scares me!

This company calls me repeatedly all day and evening even Saturdays.  The calls are recorded messages by someone who calls himself "the Manager" in a tone of voice that's supposed to scare me.  Oh my!  The MANAGER. oooo! He continually states that I have not returned his call.  The number he gives is 1-888-541-7282 Ext. 2186.

When I call back I get his voice mail.  When I do get someone live, they are discourteous, unprofessional and threatening.  They try to put words in my mouth.  They say I won't pay this bill.  I have to correct them immediately with "I can't pay this bill".  These are nasty individuals and I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau of Arizona.

calling about a non-existent student loan.  they do not give up.

Calls about student loans that are none existant.  Tell them to check the internet because the are many who have complaints about the constant rouse. But still continue to call.

They usually start calling around 8:15 in the morning. They call every 4 hours until 8-8:30. I don't answer the phone but it is highly annoying. I just wish they'd go away.

This company is harassing me over a student loan that is not mine ! I have told them they have wrong person but they continue to harass !! I filed a complaint through federal trade commission and if they don't stop I will get a lawyer and sue them !! ITS RIDICULOUS !

They called three to four times per day, when I answer no one is there and they never leave a msg.  I don't have debt so this is extremely annoying!

How can we stop them?

Calls my cell everyday two times a day at nearly the same time.  No one ever answers when I answer the call.  No way to get them to stop I guess.
Wish I had call block on my cell phone.  It is really annoying.
I have no debt so there is no reason for a collector to be calling me and how they got my cell phone is frustrating.

called this evening, when I asked them what it was in reference to they said an education loan matter.  I told them to stop calling, he said the calls wouldn't stop until my husband returned his call.  I said we tried to return the call but no one is ever there by the name that is left on the machine.  I again, told them to stop calling.  No calls will be returned.

They are collections...and persistent

I've been called by this number & by 212-377-0365 over the same matter.

This company gives the toll-free number 877-719-7015.

What I've discovered is that apparently these various collection agencies are probably using databases derived from phone directories. In this case they are searching for someone named Dolores. I am listed in phone directories as "D." Therefore, they are probably cold calling anyone listed with the initials of the person whom they are seeking. From there, if they do not get that person, then they are casting a wide net, hoping to find someone who knows the person.

I've done this sort of thing myself for the perposes of researching family trees. Believe it or not, it does work.

calls allot and never leaves a message, they are trying to collect from an employee of my business who was injured and is on sick leave!
