Number arrived as part of an email pretending to be from Credit Union West (CU West) of which I am not a member, asking all members to call 928-445-9841 to confirm their ATM card with the credit union's data base.

I didn't get a call, but I received this in an e-mail. An obious scam.

I had the same text message. Its a form of phising but I just wander how they got my number.
received a text from this number reading "Notice / This is a message from State Department Federal Credit Union. Your card has been suspended. Please call urgent to reactivate." When I call there's only an option to either enter your credit card number or to disconnect. I've received the message twice.

I received the same text message only the first message came in on Nov. 29th and the second on Nov. 30th. I sent an email to the real Credit Union letting them know about this scam.
What's even weirder is there were automated phone calls made to my husband's job saying the same thing on several different telephone lines shortly after midnight. This thing is getting out of hand.
