Just got a message last night from this number, it didn't give me a card number just said card was deactivated... My guess is they got my number off Craigslist.. I've herd a lot of scammers getting numbers on there, you guys have any ads on there

I received the EXACT same message on an ATT network for CARD* starting with 4852.  I don't have any card starting with those numbers so I believed it was a scam. The message came from notice@cuwest.  and the number given to call is 877-466-8505.

Received same message except with credit card starting in 4852.  I think everyone should just keep calling their number over and over, maybe overload their phone system.

I don't think it is just tmobile. Mine just says message from 502

I got the CU West alert for account starting with 4626 on 5/31. Seeing as in I don't have a CU West account, I realized it was a scam. None of my banking services identify anything using the starting card numbers because those are commonly the same. My credit union's first 8 digits are the same as many others I know with the same institution.

I'm Verizon so it's not T-Mobile specific. They sent it from a vtext.com email addy.

How are they acquiring phone numbers?

I got the same type of text 45 minutes ago. I called the number figuring it was a scam and an automated voice came on asking me to input my 16 digit card number. How brazen are these criminals?!?  Surely, everyone knows this is a scam.  What's interesting is it seemes to be some kind of T-Mobile thing, as it starts with an email address cuw@tmomail.net.  I have a T-Mobile phone.  Does anyone else?

Someone stole and mixed most of my identity and my sons last month.  They opened a checking account at Sun Trust Bank which was quickly closed.  I got the same text message tonight,  I googled CU West and called the number on their website not the one on text.  

The operator there said this is a phishing scam.  They are aware and have notified police.  I would love to know the connection between all of us to figure out how these people go my info.

Steve: We must have the "same account number." That is the verbatim text message. Visit the banks actual website and it has recognized this issue for quite a while.

SCAM!!! View the origional Sunwest Federal Credit Union website and there is an alert on their webpage regarding this issue. SWFCU NEVER sends emails/text messages. DO NOT CALL the # on the text message. SCAM SCAM SCAM

I got a text tonight from same people saying my account  was deactivated. I don't know who they are. Don't call them it is no doubt a scam to get your info.

obviously not a real message.  I do wonder what the number is for.

I received the exact same message as the two above.  Obviously I am not going to call the number because it is clearly a phishing scam trying to gain personal information to steal your identity.

I just received the SAME text message as Miriam received from C.U. West with the SAME account number and to call 602-457-5709...I don't even have an account with these people!
