Caller will say "I am calling from Best Buy" --Beware==this is not a Best Buy corporate number. Absolutely fraud number.

Some lady named Rene with a slightly foreign accent left a quick voicemail. She claimed to be from best buy asking about a recent order. It's been a while since I bought from Best Buy and that was a local store near Philly. This definitely a scam. There is no way a national retail and online chain is going to call about a purchase and not refer to an order number. They are phishing for info and will ask you to confirm your card number.

11-27-2012 - I just got a call from this guy saying he needed my credit card # to finish processing my GSP protection plan account. He needed my billing info & card # because even though Best Buy already had my information it was"encrypted" and he couldn't access it and he had to obtain it again.
It felt wrong so I told him to give me a number to call back at so I could go find my cc. I called Best Buy back and they said there were no problems with my account and no one would have called me with a request like that. They have access to all my info, not of which was "encrypted". DON'T TRUST THIS CALLER!

got a call this a.m., didn't answers as I do not know anyone in Phoenix.  From what I read here I was right not to answer.  I disagree with the comments about Best Buy as I've had nothing but positive interactions with them. Like most people with a problem you probably haven't read your receipt, followed instructions, or just think they owe you something.

I got a call from this number today and it was from someone I had spoken with at Best Buy last week regarding a problem. It is a legitimate number, but I still would not give anyone personal information unless I initiated a call.

I received a call from this number to follow-up on my complaint to Best Buy customer service that my internet order was delayed.  While the number may not be listed under Best Buy it is indeed used by Best Buy support personnel.

I just got a call from this number.  It was the support guy from BestBuy.com calling me back about an issue I had contacted them about a couple days ago.

Got a call this morning, saying it was Brain , from best buy...asking if we received an order we placed.. we just said yes.. but the strange thing is, we received what he called about over 2 weeeks ago.. so i called back the number that he called from and its a recording for qwest telephone and cell phones... not best buy.. nobody answered. so i called best buy to ask if someone had called, and they showed there was no calls made to us from best buy. how is this person getting our info from best buy? BEWARE!

This is a Teletech call center.  Best Buy outsources much, if not all, of it's call center, bestbuy.com, and aftersale customer service to Teletech.  I know this becasue I had to have them call me severeal times and call them back as well to deal with a web purchase issue.

This number appeared on my phone bill as if I had made a call for 29 minutes.  While I do not pay for long distance calls I still reported it to my phone company since I did not make the call.  It is a mystery how they can make it appear as if I called them!

This number actually is Best Buy. I called their 800 # to have a gift card replaced that I lost. When they returned my call to let me know it was on its' way and another to make sure I received it, this was the number that was displayed.

Received a call today from this number and said they would send me my rebate check from Best Buy if I would give them a Credit Card #.  This man was very persistant and said he had a case # and my last 4 digits of my card already... Of course I hung up immediately and you should too!

Best Buy dot com is in Minnesota.  I wouldn't respond to these call since it's more than likely a scam.

This is a BestBuy.com number. I received an expected phone call back from their customer service rep. and this is the number that showed up on CallerID.

On a different note, DON"T buy anything from BestBuy.com (or from their store). They have the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. I ordered a dishwasher from them at the beginning of Feb., it was supposed to be delivered within a week (had a confirmed delivery time and everything) and then it didn't show up. It's been nearly a month, with repeated calls to customer service; the communication has been nil, I have yet to receive my dishwasher, and now I'm looking at up to two weeks wait before I even receive my money back now that I've finally cancelled my order!!! Yet they can hold onto my money for almost a month, without even letting me know I'm NOT GETTING MY DISHWASHER?!?

got a call this morning, saying it was brain from best buy... wanted to know if we recieved and order we made, was very strange, casue we receiced it like 2 weeks ago... so we jsut said yes and hung up... i called best buys customer support and asked if anyone called from  best buy, and they said they had no notes of anybody calling us... beware

on hold says Qwest????

there was a voice mail but it was just people talking in the backgroud. sounded like a business but i could not make out what anyone was saying.
