Yes, I tried to answer it. No one there. Coming from Phoenix, based on area code. I called back, and it said "Welcome to the customer service. Kindly wait on the line..." It sounds like the scammers who try to get personal information. DO NOT fall for it!

I called too and I got a hung up. I think you are right.

I get calls from this number everyday... Not sure what they want because they call during the day, when I'm busy and can't answer the phone, but they leave no messages and just call again the next day.
I called the number and it goes to customer service and I've never been able to talk to anyone there.

When I answered the phone, a man said I had won a $500 shopping spree online. I told him, I was not interseted. Then he kept harrassing me, asking me why I wasn't interested. I kept telling him, that I was not interested, and finally told him not to call back aagin. He was very rude!

These people have been calling me for weeks & weeks (last number varies between 2, 3, 4 or 5). I told them a few weeks ago to take me off their list, but they continued calling & have been calling at 8 am for a few days (I am NOT a morning person)!!! So I answered this morning & asked why they were calling me at 8 am, Indian guy said it was 8:30 & I told him no it's 8:11. Asked why they were calling me when I told them weeks ago to remove me from their list. He tried this whole "well we aren't selling you anything" spiel (said he was from Smart Shopper) so why aren't you interested. I said if I didn't call you then you don't need to be calling me & told him to stop calling me, finally he said OK. We'll see if the calls stop....

Yup these people keep calling me about the same thing, saying i won a free 50-25 dollar gas card. Except they said that when they ship it, all i would have to do is activate the card and the money is mine.??? But after i got transfered over to another number some guy said....(Indian accent) "Hi sur, to compete youre infornmation i will neet youre cridit caad noumber" ??? I didn't ask questions, so i hung up.
That was 15 mins wasted of my time.

BEWARE. Every time we get a call from this number they hang up on my husband and me. My child answered one day when I was next door. The person asked my child all kinds of questions like name and age. My child is very trusting and told this person and they started using her name over and over. She finally hung up on them. She called me scared to death. This does not sound legit to me. My husband is irate about it. Since then she has to check to see if she knows the person before she answers. Something should be done.

Phone Scam Impacts Saline Co. Residents
HARRISBURG -- Officials in Saline County say hardly a week goes by that they don't hear about some kind of scam. The most recent is coming by way of the phone and it's affecting people nationwide.
Sheriff Keith Brown says people in Saline County have reported receiving phone calls from SLG Sales. The caller tells victims they've won hundreds through a lottery, but asks for your credit information in return. During tough economic times, officials say we'll not only see more scammers, but more people falling victim.
"You don't get something for nothing," says Brown, "there's always something attached to these things."
But if you pick up the phone and hear you've won 500 dollars, the deal is tempting and somewhat believable, because as opposed to millions in winnings... "This is a small amount so they think it's probably legitimate," says Brown.
But in order to get the winnings, there's one more detail... "They ask for a processing fee," says Brown, "in this case it's a very small fee around two dollars, but they want your credit card in order to get this processing fee taken care of."
Brown says unless you're making a legitimate purchase, "There is very seldom a reason to give credit information over the phone."
The scam is apparently operating out of Arizona and the culprits aren't just getting those in Saline County on the line. It's affecting people across the country. A google search for SLG sales won't turn-up a company website, but you will find dozens of people sharing their stories on sites like "rip-off report". Brown says if you get a suspicious call- use common sense.
"You have to ask yourself if you've not entered a lottery and somebody calls you to say you've won-- there's a fair chance there's something wrong," says Brown.
And even though we're all looking for a little extra money these days, Brown says, "If it sounds too good to be true, it's very likely too good to be true."
Sheriff Brown says when his department receives complaints, they're passed along to a federal task force to determine if it's a regional problem. The scam may then become a federal violation. If you feel you've been the target of a scam, contact your local police.

Received a call this morning from this number. A very determined lady said I had won a $50.00 gasoline gift card which could be used anywhere. Asked to confirm my address, which she had. She said all I had to do to receive the card was to pay $2.95. I asked her twice what she was selling and she stated she was selling nothing just giving away cards to good credit card customers. She said she was from Market Advantage. I declined the offer by saying good bye and hanging up. If you tell these folks anything you will probably be very sorry!!

This company is a scam, we have reported them to the Rhode Island Attorney Generals Office. they will tell you they are with one of your credit card companies, somehow they have the last four digits of your credit card. They then proceed to tell you, you have won free gas of $50 or $100 Home Depot card etc. etc. It is all a scam, do not give any of your credit card or bank account information. Report them to your local Attorney Generals office. I am sure they will find the same thing we did, this call is actually coming from over sees. BEWARE, sounds to good to be true it usually is. DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION.

SCAM. I have been called by this 602 number at least 10 times in the last month. They always tell me I have been selected to win a $500 online shopping spree, and that I have to pay a $2.00 fee with my Visa card to get it. They are just phishing for credit card numbers. So I gave them 4567-8901-2345-6789 expiring 10/11. They were angry when the number declined, apparently it wasn't obvious to them I gave them a series of ascending digits. Same number calls with variation in the last digit (1112, 1113, etc.)

How do these companies keep getting my number?
Koz 2008-07-11 06:21:37 Unknown
This number has called my cell phone for the last few nights, I haven't answered as I did not recognize the number. I would love to know how they got my number as I do not give this number out to anybody but friends and family. I would love to find the people who do this, so I could spend my nights calling them back and messing with their lives.

OK, folks, if we cannot get rid of these callers, why not have some fun?
A few suggestions:
1. Pretend not to understand English, Just use ANY language you know. Come on, everybody knows a little bit of Spanish or German.
2. Tell them that a person they asking for will be available in a few minutes so you'll have to put them on hold. Meanwhile put your favorite CD into your comp or a CD player,
turn it on full blast and put a receiver in a close proximity. Heavy metal or Beethoven 7th should work magic.
3. When answering, start with something like ...it's a (fake cityname) police department. My name is ... How can I help you?
4. Tell them they've reached Australia or New Zealand.
Yo, people, just have some fun!

Annoying 2008-06-28 18:16:48 Unknown
Same thing here. They call, when i answer, they hang up.
I think they want you to call them back. Most likely they're just calling random numbers. Maybe someone at Sprint sold a list of numbers to them.
Misstymm 2008-06-26 17:51:44 Unknown
Have called me several times over and over but do not leave a messsage. When I tried to call back I got nothing. I just got another call from them and called immediately back. Some voice mail with someone who does not speak English well. I left a nasty message to stop calling me!

called my cell phone. Didn't pick up because I didn't recognize the number. Where do they get cell phone numbers? Isn't it illegal to be calling cell phones?
CJ 2008-06-23 01:46:57 Unknown
Some guy with an Indian accent (I couldn't understand the name of the company he said he was with, even after repeating it 3 times) called my cell from this number, saying I won $60 in free gas and a $500 online shopping spree. Said I won this because I have a Visa or Mastercard (then asked me if I do) and all I had to do is pay $2.00 shpg & hdlg. When he mentioned my address where it was to be sent, all he said was the county, state and "wrong" zip code, no street address. Then he transfered me to an Indian women to take my info who ask for my credit card number, as I hung up!!
