They call 4 or 5 if not more times a day and when you call back like they say its just a recording.
This number belongs to Nationwide Collection Agy. in AZ. main telephone number is 602-320-2260, other fax numbers are 602-379-2120. This service is horrible! there people are awful to deal with, if you have an attorney, have their office call them and have the calls stopped. They also have 800 numbers that say "toll free call".
800-567-7000 Is a number used by Nationwide Collections, They try to collect from Discover, Amex, "ETC". Agood number to call them back is 800-267-9209 if you need an extention use 2191. These people are terrible to talk to, If you have an attorney and you have bankrupt either Chapter 7 or 13 advise them who called, name, date, time, return telephone number and a fax number. Your Attorney will give them all the information and stop the calls.
This afternoon a person called me & told me why I was speaking weird. I have cerebral palsy & speak with a slur. They should not make fun of a disabled person.
These guy are strong arm artist, called me a liar and were rude. I have reported them to the BBB and the Attonery General
This number was on my caller ID when I checked for messages. However, no one left a message and when I tried to call back, there was no answer, not even voice mail. If you want to talk to me, leave a message stating who you are.
I got a call from them.... they left a message.
"You can run, but you cannot hide".
Kindof scary since I dont have any outstanding debts either, if they are a collection agency. Think I'll call an attorney and have them check it out.
They keep calling me for a Discover account, yet they will not send anything in writing......they are rude, yell at you, say they are coming after you, ask for bank info...it is insane...I think they are complete frauds!
It is Nationwide collections. They usually deal with American Debt debt but maybe other companies too. Guys name is Dan Tucker and he sounds nice but tries to convince you that you owe the debt even when you are just an additional user on the account.
Received a call with no message. Try calling back and there is no answer.
calls often it is most likely a collection agency trying to scare and scam you out of your money! they never answer when you pickup! fyi I don't owe any debt so why are they allowed to computer auto dial people's phones! telemarketers aren't allowed so why are they allowed to call it is the same with those so called "survey" and "charities" they sell your number and they wonder why you answer rudely when they keep calling after you politely ask on the first time to have your number removed from their lists!
Called for past currently employee, Angela said it was urgent. I told her no one worked here by the employees name & told her not to call here again.
same as everyone else......call all the time, then hang up, no-one there.....then when I pick up they are rude and I said send me via US mail your informationa dn they say they wan tto fax it instead...someone told me any reputible collection agency has to send info through the mail and then it is legally binding etc etc...funny nothing from these guys ever shows up ...also they alway say they are Carla Turner....
Calls at least seven to ten times through out the weekday and the weekends. They never leave a message...
In your statement you mentioned FIRED a collection agency. How can I go about doing this? I have asked for pay plans to be mailed so that I can have it for my records & they refused.

This number and 602-379-2260 keep calling my parents house and leaving some kind of a account number and won't give any details, but they keep calling. I don't know how they got their number, they call multiple times a day and their number is listed under the Federal Do Not Call Registry.
Me too. Lots of harrassing tactics. Phone rings, then they hang up (caller ID). Threats that they'll put me in jail. these idiots are cruising for another record fine. The guy in the past identified himself as Mr. Fare. Life is already quite difficult. Do we need bottom-feeders like this Mr Fare to pile on?
This call came in on my cell phone, but I missed it. Caller left no message. I didn't recognize the number, so I looked it up. Most ppl on here seem to think that it's a collection agency that works w/ AmEx, which is wierd, since I don't have an account with them. Seems completely random to me !!
Nationwide Credit is once again in some trouble. See this article and you can get the details. http://caveatemptorblog.com/2007/11/18/nationwide-collections-admits-violating-the-fdcpa/
Ten years ago they paid a $1,000,000 fine for violations to the Fair Debt Collections Act. See this article. http://www.ftc.gov/opa/1998/10/nationwide.shtm
Looks like they are at it again. My suggestion is to consult an attorney and make arrangements with the original creditor. Do not negotiate with Nationwide.
Got a call today on my cell phone from this number, i didn't answer it in time, but when i tried to call it back the number just kept ringing and ringing...no one or nothing picked up
Got a call from this number but they did not leave a message identifying who they were. All I heard was the sound of someone typing on a keyboard.
This number calls my cellphone and when I answer there's a few seconds of silence then their end hangs up. This is just one of MANY numbers that calls my cell. Ever since I got my number I get collection agency calls for "Tim" and "Chien Feng"....idk who those people are. I just got a bad cell number, I guess? Ugh.
This number usually calls twice a day. Now that I see it is from NCI ( American Express used collection agencey), I get discusted. After my husbands long year of unemployment, and many attempts to make payments on my account, which no one would accept unless paid in full. I finally recieved a letter, to pay half now, and make 5 equal payments for the rest. I made half of the payment as agreed, and sent them the agreed schedule for payments. I recieved a letter back that stated to pay the rest of the balance in full, or they are getting an attorney. Well I know attorneys are easier to deal with than these people. I say "Go ahead!" They are liars.
Calls at 7:00 a.m. Pacific time every morning.
keeps calling for a thomas wont stop
I have a disputed balance with American Express. I have agreed to the "balance", but not the fees. This is the 3rd company I have had saying the represent American Express. This is the 3rd company where the callers speak little to no English, and know nothing about American collection laws. Seems to me, American Express isn't the great American company they would like people to think they are. Just know that in EVERY state in the USA, you can FIRE any collection agency, and only deal with the company in which you intended to do business with!
Calls from 602-567-7000 is from Nationwide Collections in AZ. They are a collections Agy. for many credit cards. If you have bankrupt have your Attorney contact them to stop the calls. Keep a detailed account on the name of the person that called and the telephone number listed when they called and the times, so your Attorney has all the information from their harrasment calls.
To "Frustrated Honest Person" I've had the same issue with United Recovery Systems another AMEX collection company. I asked for my payment plan in writing but was told we don't do that. He asked for telephone payments, I refused, he asked for 3 post dated checks, I refused. I went online at AMEX and was able to pay on my debt even though the account has been cancelled. By the way I was told that I had to make payment directly to United Recovery Systems.
Get a baseball bat and keeping beating back those collectors and don't succumb to their pressure.
Frustrated Honest Person
Only after being asked, caller identified herself as Angelica with American Express. I believe by State an/or Federal law, they're supposed to divulge that information within 15 to 30 seconds. I had recently made three post-dated payments over the phone on an Optima Account after receiveing letter with phone number (877) 354-8148 from M. Ghazavi Director of Collections offering an opportunity to regain membership. The account had been charged off by AMEX in 2003 when I was un-employed for an extended period of time. However, I was only interested in paying off the debt. Although the front of my electronic checks were marked American Express, I became suspicious when I observed the back of checks were marked "Guaranteed for deposit without signaure by NCI". The latter is an acronym for Nationwide Collections, Inc. I said that I would send future checks by mail to AMEX at their Fort Lauderdale, Florida address. The caller (Angelica) said that was unacceptable and that my account would be turned over to an outside collection agency unless I set up more post-dated payments. She also refused to send a periodic balance statement even if I agreed to future payements. I subsequently asked to speak to her supervisor and was placed on hold for 20 minutes until same person (Angelica) came back on line and said that all supervisor were in meeting. It sure doesn't sound like American Express to me! I think NCI is operating under the guise of American Express with the latter's full knowledge because it removes a lot of the stringent restrictions that most states impose on outside collection agencies.
This number called my house. They were asking for my mother who has an old debt with American Express. My mother is sick with alzheimer's and I told them that long ago. Now they are harassing me. I don't live in the same state and I don't owe the debt. They left a message, I didn't answer the call. She said her name was Irene and her phone number was 877-354-8148 x3006.
